Well, granted, we weren't the usual late afternoon order - it varied between chips, ice creams, cream teas etc.

The waitress was very friendly. Her service and patience alone would have gained four stars but feel unable to overlook very strange restaurateur foibles.

When it came to having 2 glasses per can of fizzy drink we were not permitted. Exact words.
I can understand that businesses are run for profit. However, our lot are not allowed a whole can of fizz each. We would have purchased an extra drink afterwards, say squash/fruit shoot/bottled water, but after that, well...say no more. We didn't.

With the chips is one sachet of ketchup. 20p per sachet for any extra. So we made do with what we had....perhaps in a take away, but sat down in a 'cosy' cafecumrestaurant?

It's those little things that make it somewhere that we'd only return to if everything else was closed - even then I'd strecth only to a pot of tea which was reasonable in price £1.30.

Very odd. People outside were sharing their drinks/baguettes so perhpas that's the trick?

I am very sorry you only had one ketchup each. But if you had asked we do give more for free. The only reason we charge is to stop people having 10. Which has happened. Thanks for your review.
