We popped in for lunch when passing by. The bar itself looks a bit tired but all in all it was fine. The staff were very friendly, we were the only customers in but it was a Tuesday lunchtime in February so to be expected. I`m not sure how good it would be to eat there of a busy evening as it didnt look like there was a seperate eating area and I personally dont like eating in the middle of drinkers. Although it does look like a fun place to come for a drink. The food itself was actually very nice and reasonably priced, I had a panini which was lovely and my partner had the cajun chicken, you could tell it was freshly cooked. A nice visit to the pub and I would recommend it.

Always return to this pub. The drinks are well kept and the food is excellent.

Will be back again when next in Ilfracombe.

Very dark and gloomy with a very run down feel. Service better than the surroundings. Typical pub menu. Beer good, food OK without being in the slightest inspiring. Went with family, but if it had just been as a couple, we would not have got further than the door! Not an enjoyable experience.

We are sorry you found the prince dingy and tired,
But having been tied to enterprise inns for 20 years they have taking nearly everything I earn which leave very little cash flow for basic maintenance, once again sorry.

Well it is what it is. Friendly local pub with a average selection of beers lagers and a few ciders. Could of done with clean glasses though but we were drinking rough cider so nothing was going to unsettle the iron stomach.

Basic pub nosh. Cheap and fills you up before or after a walk around the stunning countryside. Good ales and dangerous cider!
