“Steeped in History”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2011

Quaint Oldie Worldy and Wonderful. At £7 per adult Tour of the Manor and a walk around gardens & grounds by donation to charity this is a must for visiting the area. Lovely tea room/outside seating area, small shop/items to purchase in tea room the main attraction being the 11th Century Manor House. A guide will take you around at specific times of the day. For those who like a spooky past then this is the place. Weird and wonderful stories of bygone years, families who owned, lived and worked there and of the property itself - an uncovered sealed room and a feeling of being watched and followed - maybe those playful little children of the past or maybe something a bit more spooky. A very knowledgeable and friendly guide educates you around the Manor just like walking through the past and thinking what it must have been like to have lived and worked there. Lovely courtyard garden with a pond and a wishing well. May it last forever.
