We booked this hotel at the last minute, so glad we did , its the best one around. Liam the owner made us most welcome. We came to Ilfracombe to celebrate our Anniversary and when we got back to the hotel early evening we had a lovely suprise left in our room from Liam and his family to celebrate our Anniversary. The hotel was lovely and clean, the room we had over looked the sea, it was a lovely big room with a newly fitted bathroom. The breakfast we had was lovely, it kept us going for the day, the food and service was excellent !! We shall never forget this stay.

The owner and his wife were very helpful accomadating even providing a fan for one of the rooms. the breakfast was freshly cooked and very enjoyable. Disappointed that due to refurbishment there was no bar or resturant which we only found out on arrival. The refurbishment that has been done so far is good. The rooms by the main street were very noisy no fault of the owners due to road sweepers, bin men and many sea gulls. There is only parking outside hotel on one way street and rarely any spaces although the nearest parking is not far mobility needs to be good and if there is something on then all car parks are likely to be full as when we were there.

Having been regular visitors to Ilfracombe since 1973, I have to say that the Crescent is probably the nicest hotel we have stayed in in the area. Some of the older ones have sadly closed down and we had real concerns for the town for years. It is so good to see people like Liam and family having faith in the town and putting so much effort into making such a nice place to stay. Room lovely, bathroom practically brand new, food and service excellent!! Last minute choice this time but will certainly return!

Having stayed in several different hotels we were very impressed with the quality and value this hotel gives. We stayed in one of the hotels family suites, newly referbished to a very high standard with comfortable beds and 5 star quality bathroom, we were made very welcome and had an exceptional breakfast that kept us going all day.

Although Ilfracombe is hilly and hard on the walking side it is a nice seaside resort with a mixed quiet and louder side. I love the sea and the trips available from the harbour.
The food in this hotel was basic but very plentiful. well worth the money to stay here.
