Great course on the hill. Views from every hole on a course that was in good condition. Great value food in clubhouse with a good atmosphere.

Were recommended this golf course while on holiday in the area. The golf course is great with seaviews, but the bar/ dining room is very dated and the food was very disappointing. This golf club could be so much better with the views, just needs an injection of money. I would play here again and have a drink in the bar but would not eat here again.

Came here with a large group to eat on a Saturday night on a recommendation. No atmosphere - we were the only people there - and pretty tatty surroundings. A basic menu poorly delivered with most of our party sending back the inedible steak. The golf may be fabulous, the catering is not.

We played whilst on a stag do (a few hours of calm and sobriety!)
On arrival the pro was very welcoming and gave us quick "tour" of the clubhouse and facilities.
We visited the bar for some pre round breakfast, again the steward was friendly and professional. Food was good quality at a sensible price.
Once on the course it didn't take long to encounter some of the quirkiness with 3 par threes in a row. The most unusual is the 68 yard 4th!
There are several crossovers that, to a first time visitor are a little awkward as you are unsure who us playing which hole and who has priority. However I think the members are forgiving of any confusion.
The course was in good condition and it really is true. You can "see the sea from every tee" in fact you can pretty much always see the beautiful north devon coast. I would class the course as a reasonably tough walk as the first 9 /10 are all uphill at some point. This is not a links course, more like heathland but there are still a few blind tee shots to keep you thinking.
I really enjoyed my visit and will almost certainly walk the 100+ year old fairways again.

Frequent guest. Staff always helpful and friendly. I'm a keen golfer and would suggest a visit if your passing. You will not be disappointed
