Just had a cream tea, and although I've tasted nicer scones, the overall experience was good. Quaint tea garden. Friendly welcome. Good cup of tea, and comfy chairs.

Just been to St. James' Tea Room in ilfracombe and had the tastiest gluten free carrot cake ever! They also offered gluten free scones and sandwiches which was great. Very friendly service & great price too! Highly recommended.

Does well to stand out along a whole street of similar tea rooms and restaurants. Would definitely return. Nice seating outside courtyard area that doesn't feel too busy

An excellent cream tea. Home made scones and very generous portions. Very good service and reasonable prices. Would recommend it.

Having visited this tea room year after year it's become our first stop when staying in Devon. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. They give a personal service which is so welcoming.
The cream tea is huge! home baked with a generous portion of clotted cream & jam.
The menu is extensive and there's never a lack of freshly baked cakes which are equally delicious.
Could never visit Devon without popping in for a cream tea.
