“Ilfracombe's wonderful new addition!”
Review of Verity Statue

Verity Statue
Reviewed 16 July 2013

She's big and beautiful and looks phenomenal against the backdrop of the Bristol Channel and Hillsborough. Damien Hirst has truly honoured the town with his wonderful loan. She may not be everyone's cup of tea, but that's art for you! People have travelled from far and (very) wide to come and visit her so she is definitely the main attraction in Ilfracombe!

This statue is totally out of place and does not belong on Ilfracombe harbour. The artist gets his point across re unborn child's right.

I think she's amazing - I didn't know she was there but thought she was a clever statue and made Ilfracombe harbour more interesting than ever before!

How this represents Ilfracombe is beyond me.
If it had been anyone but Hirst it would probably have been denied
