On arriving at Hidden Valley we were met by very friendly and helpful staff. We were pleased with our spacious pitch. The site was in an area which enabled us to explore the surrounding countryside and towns easily. The amenities were of a good standard. Would certainly recommend this site. Derek and Nina M.

We stayed here whilst attending Oceanfest and it scored highly in every department. The facilities were spotless, the pitches well maintained, and there was a late check out for all the festival goers.
Whilst there was some noise after hours, it was a festival weekend so that is to be expected, it was the most polite and respectful rowdiness i've ever come across.
I wouldn't hestitate to recommend this place to future Oceanfest goers, especially if you have young children.
I look forward to visiting Hidden Valley again.

We stopped here whilst touring around North Devon; just happened to be driving past and decided to give it a go. We ended up staying for two nights and were impressed with the location and facilities. Set in several acres of woodland, the pitches are well set out and the toilets and showers are modern and clean. An absolute bargain at only £15 per night for a campervan and awning. We would definately recommend this and would go back again. Wi-Fi is available across the site (for a fee) and the staff are welcoming and friendly.

Room Tip: The only criticism is that the site is just off the main road, so if possible, pitches furthest away...

A lovely site with plenty of walks, with the added pleasure of a stream running through the site. The pitches and roadways where all kept clean and tidy. I did notice that within the wooded areas it was left very natural, so if a tree had fallen it was left as nature intended, great for the insects and bugs, and of course food for the large variety of birds.
The pitches were a good size with water, electric and TV hookup by each one. The toilets and facilities were always clean(very important) and the wardens and the Legg family were always pleasant and helpful. The new restaurant and bar saved having to go offsite for a meal and drink.
We will be back!

A relatively small family-run site that has been, and continues to be, developed and updated on a rolling basis. Recent refurbishments include the reception area, cafe area and some of the pitches. A small restaurant, at the rear of the reception, has recently been re-opened providing an eat-on-site option (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) and the one meal eaten in there was of a good standard. Within the reception area there is a small shop that sells the necessities food wise as well as some spares too. The staff are friendly and very helpful, providing advice on what is available in the local area.

Grounds are well tended and the shower blocks and washing facilities were of a good standard and kept clean and tidy. There are a couple of play areas for children, a well defined circular walk through woodland (some may find it a bit of a challenge as some parts are quite steep) that at times follows a river that runs through the site and a well defined dog exercise area.

Pitches can include, hardstanding, electric, water and waste.

The site takes Motorhomes, Caravans and Tents and also has 3 cabins too.

Prices are reasonable

Ideal for those wanting a quieter time on holiday.

We booked this site on the internet without knowing very much about it. Having stayed at some very poor campsites in the area, Hidden Valley was a pleasant surprise.
Loads of room, grass pitches, fully serviced, digital TV connection and all at a reasonable price. The cafe/restaurant is good quality and does a take away service.
The only thing that let it down was the internet access. At £12 a week for one device it is very expensive. The connection often fell-out and you had to enter a 16 digit number to reconnect.
Other than the internet our stay was perfect.

Stayed in a tent, alongside friend in caravan. Pitch was spacious, well-tended, grass short and in good condition, water point nearby.
The shower and toilet block was very clean, and is such an important point!
Lots of trees, small stream, bird-life.
Any "cons"? Well, the road noise is noticeable, but not intrusive. and the pitch I was on did not have such a great view ... but thee are small points really.
