We stayed at the Dorchester to attend a wedding at Tunnels Beaches, it was walking distance to the venue and to the town centre. The owner was welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, we had the family room which was well decorated and very clean. There was hospitality tray with a selection of biscuits, hot drinks and fresh milk was kept in the mini fridge which had other drinks and treats at a small charge. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. We would definitely stay there again.

Our room was peaceful and beautifully presented, with lots of thoughtful extras in the room. We were made to feel very welcome and had a wonderful break. We have stayed in many guest houses and this definitely deserves a 5 star rating!

Room Tip: We had room 5 - it was very spacious and peaceful.

My wife and I booked for three nights and really enjoyed our stay. We were unexpectedly upgraded and the room we were given was comfy and spacious. A great breakfast, which we gave our cooked option choices for the day before, and a very friendly host. Convenient for mooching into town and along the coast (10 min walk) and nice extras like an honesty bar and stocked fridge in the room. Good value. Highly recommended.

We spent two nights in the Dorchester while on a three day walking holiday. The rooms, super king and standard double, were clean and well equipped with comfortable beds, bathrooms and fridges, etc. Our welcome was great and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate and the owner remembered all my peculiarities on the second morning. One slight drawback was that there were no facilities for drying muddy boots, but the owner cheerfully gave me newspaper and said not to worry about the carpets! A great place to stay for couples, singles like us and families.

Room Tip: Go for the super king

We stayed here for one night whilst attending a wedding at The Tunnels. We were made to feel really welcome as soon as we arrived, they had also allowed us to check in early to allow us time to get changed for the wedding. Our room was lovely,,spotlessly clean and really spacious. Would highly recommend this hotel.
