Just visited the terrace for a meal with my girlfriend. We chose this place based on other people's reviews and were not disappointed. The food was beautiful, the staff friendly and the price was a bargain since we ordered off the all you can eat menu and left with our stomachs full.

In food terms, you could be forgiven for thinking Illfracombe was one big chip shop, however, if you look beyond the salt and vinegar you can find a couple of fine eateries - The Terrace Tapas is one of these. We arrived on a busy friday night and received a warm welcome from the owner, after being shown to our table we perused the extensive menu. We opted against ordering from the set menu, instead selecting 6 dishes to share. As recommended in previous reviews, the chorizo was excellent, and my partner raved about the balls which were drenched in a zingy sauce - superb meat. All in all, friendly service and fine food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Had a great meal here on a busy Saturday night. We arrived in Ilfracombe late and the chef was about to close the kitchen, but we were never rushed and the food was of excellent quality. Chef obviously uses good-quality ingredients as even the simple dishes were delicious - highly recommend the chorizo in red wine. Good choice of drinks too and friendly service, highly recommended.

We arrived at this restaurant on a busy saturday night , the owner greeted us amd told us we would habe a tabke as soon as they could clear them, within two minutes we were seated and enjoying looking through lovely full tapas menu, sipping a very nice tempranillo.
we were told to relax order whatever and whichever wewanted at our own time throughout the evening.
we started with four dishes , the prawns with chiili and garlic were superb and so were the meatballs. We ended up ordering seven different dishes, all of which were fantastic. And also really good value.
we must give a special mention to the young lady who served us who was camping, and had comeinto work, she was friendly and always had a big smile. Very good service ! Thanks the terrace, you gave us a memorable meal !

We booked here on recommendation of a friend who lives in the area and we are glad we did. We went on a Saturday night so it was busy but the service did not suffer. The staff were attentive and friendly, always on hand for any requests. The food was outstanding, we initally picked 5 tapas but ended up ordering more. We never felt rushed which considering they were busy and could have used the table again was good. The lamb lollipops and prawns in garlic and chilli we ordered 3 portions of. Everything was brilliantly cooked and thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant itself isnt the poshest place and the setting a little bright for an intimate dinner but the food and staff more than make up for it. There was a set menu which was cheaper than how we did it but considering the standard of the food I dont think it was over priced.
