“Best Tapas in town!”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 via mobile

Went here one evening upon reading reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed! We arrived without booking a table and were offered to wait I the bar with a drink until a table became available for us. The staff were lovely and it was a matter of minutes before a table became ready, the bar was lovely so we would have happily waited longer. I had a Mojito which was lovely and I would recommend! We then decided to go for the all you could eat tapas deal which was wonderful. The salad bar was great, the tapas itself was great quality and the variety was wonderful. The staff bent backwards to make everyone feel welcome, I would highly recommend that you visit this restaurant!

“Spot on.”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

We just had the perfect evening here, we were greeted by the owner on arrival, the food was spot on, nicely presented, plentiful and served with a smile, the staff were very polite and welcoming, looking forward to our next visit. If you are holidaying in Ilfracombe please give the all you can eat menu a try, great value for money,
Tony

“Great hospitality with endless tapas”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

We celebrated our daughter's 21st as a group of 10 (which included a toddler). The service and food were excellent with a varied endless tapas menu (early option) which suited everyone along with the exotic drinks menu. Our grand daughter had such a comfortable seat that she stayed seated and enthralled for almost 2 hours ! The main dining area is lively. It seems that other rooms and areas of the restaurant are quieter. We happily dined as a group in the louder area. We chose the restaurant as it's a favourite of our daughter's who often dines there. The staff and owners always show wonderful hospitality. We checked in advance if ok to bring a birthday cake and the staff very kindly lit the candles and brought it in, when asked. No doubt we will dine there again !

“Great for family”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

Visited this place last year, Only found it by chance.
Me and family are going to Woolacombe this week and this is definitely going to be one of our nights out.
The staff are really friendly, The place is really clean and welcoming. For the price you pay the food is really good and can't fault it.

I would highly recommend this place it's probably the best place to eat in Ilfracombe and Woolacombe.

“Okay if you're stuck...”
Reviewed 9 August 2014 via mobile

This is okay but is no great shakes by tapas standards. basically it is a local wine bar that does some tapas (apparently endless supplies, although we arrived too late for that - too late is 9pm on a Saturday in Ilfracombe, not that we really wanted it). The food was passable, but lots of the menu that we had seemed to be based around the deep fat fryer. Depending on the other clientele this can be quite a noisy place for an evening meal - we had a very loud girls night out near us which the staff didn't seem to fussed about controlling. All in all, pretty average and not really worth the hype.

We were sorry that your experience was not as we would have liked it to be - first yes we did have a table of ladies who started off very high spirited but were are asked subtly to calm it down, which after 10 minutes they did (which caused them great offence too).

Also the last order for our endless tapas menu is 10pm, which is stated on the menu & is reiterated to the customer on starting this menu after 9pm.

A quarter of our tapas dishes are indeed fried (they cannot be prepared any other way) this includes croquetas, patatas bravas, skinny fries, chipirones (whole baby squid), pescadito Fritos (small fried fish) ....... The other 30+ dishes are not fried these include - Gambas pil pil, grilled chicken pinchoes, paella, Aubergine stew with cheese, lamb lollipops, Albondigas (meatballs).... Please our menu online for more details.
