My twins and I stayed here for one night over the Easter holidays. We stayed in room 5 which was very clean with more than enough space and a good, new looking bathroom with plenty of hot water. As mentioned by other reviewers, the decor in some areas, specifically the lounge and corridors were a little dated but this did not detract from our enjoyment of our stay. I felt very comfortable as Peter was welcoming and helpful without being too much or in the way. As a host he is fantastic and his breakfast wasn't bad either. I knew that Tenby itself was a 10 minute walk but chose to stay a bit further out of the centre as having stayed in the centre previously I didn't get very much sleep (seagulls and hen parties)! It also helped that there was free parking as the centre of Tenby can get very busy with daytrippers. £90.00 a night is a little steep but I was willing to pay the extra to feel comfortable travelling on my own with the children.

We stayed here as part of a larger group over Easter. One of the main reasons was that it was a large (by Tenby standards) establishment and had plenty of free parking (parking is a bit of an issue in Tenby). Our room was clean and sufficiently large although, as others have commented, could be considered dated. Nevertheless it served our purpose well. We were aware the walk into town was about 10-15 minutes which we didn't mind although would have been different if wet! It was also uphill coming back! The breakfast room was a nice conservatory affair which unfortunately became too hot in full sunshine. Our host was very amiable and helpful if a bit forgetful. Breakfast was well cooked and presented. I think the prices are high by Tenby standards and would say we expected a few more touches for the price - yoghurt at breakfast, bottled water, biscuits with the in room tea/coffee - but overall we enjoyed our stay.

I booked this hotel based upon previous reviews I had read but at over £300 for 4 nights I thought it was well overpriced for the quality (Easter). The Hotel gives off the distinct impression of being a guesthouse rather than hotel, the decor is dated and generally has the air of being a slightly rundown care home. The shower was very poor with no water pressure. On the plus side the owner was very helpful and friendly and the room and building kept very clean.

Thanks guys for an excellent stay! We stayed in the family room (room 5) which was very clean, well maintained and had plenty of space for 2 adults and 1 child. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The service was great and breakfast was also excellent.

Being in frequent considerable pain and on a seemingly never-nearing surgical list can be enough to drag anyone down. My wonderful partner told me that she'd planned a surprise and told me to "pack a bag, we're spending the weekend in Tenby". Hammonds Park is quite an imposing attracive building with plenty of safe off-road parking. Peter's greeting was very warm and helpful. Seems everyone knew about this except me! He showed us to our room and was at pains to explain that they might not be quite on 100% as his partner was temporarily not too well.

The room was spotlessly clean with a very nice 4-poster bed and VERY comfortable. The view overlooking the garden led off over Tenby to Caldy Island in the distance. The atmosphere and decoration had that 'just right and warm' feeling to it. Breakfast was taken in the conservatory with Peter seeing to everyone's requirements. An excellent full breakfast was offered with ample toast and tea or coffee.

Although quite cold outside, at the time of our visit in early March 2013 it was warm inside and extremely pleasant. On the two occasions we walked the approximate half mile into Tenby and and back and enjoyed a fantastic plaice and chips at the Buccaneer pub. The walk whilst quite easy, might be a case of a 'taxi-back' for some. The weather was kind to us that weekend and we made the most of it visiting St David's Cathedral and Carew Castle and Mill. And, of course, enjoying Tenby.

Any downsides? The shower control took a bit of fine tuning to get the best from it and the 'pull' cord handle for the bathroom light was a bit closer to the ceiling than it might have been which could be awkward for someone with restricted upward reach. Both items were pointed out to Peter who said he will look into them.

Would we stay at Hammonds Park again? A resounding "yes, without hesitation".

We spent a couple of nights here in Room 1
Peter our host was very welcoming and friendly.
Breakfast was very plentiful and tasty, although my husband thought the sausages could be improved up on........
The room was well equipped and even had a separate bath and shower which makes a change!
The super king bed was enormous!
Would visit again.

The hotel was very close to all of Tenbys best features.
The owner. Peter, was fantastic. He was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
At breakfast our 3 year old was quite boisterous and Peter was very patient! Breakfast itself was fresh and very nice.
More was offered throughout.
The family room was big enough for the 3 of us, clean and comfortable.
The weather was wet but we still enjoyed our stay, would def stay there again.
