“Lovely place to stay - Excellent landlady”
Reviewed 27 June 2012

Came for a two night stay June 2012 - Centrally located, five min walk to centre and/or Esplanade. The rooms are clean and spacious. The owner was very welcoming, full of advice of where to go. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choices from cereal, toast and a full "welsh" breakfast. The room was cleaned each day and tea and coffee replenished, new towels.

Overall a fully enjoyable stay - would reccomend highly

Room Tip: If elderly or infirm ask for a first floor room as stairs are a little steep.

From the moment I arrived I was totally impressed. Received a very warm welcome from the owner, nothing was too much of a problem.
As soon as you walk in you immediately notice how clean it is.
Our room
the room was very bright and big, we had a lovely comfortable double bed and my son had a small put u up bed by the side and he said it was very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities, tv. The bathroom again was so clean and shower was lovely and hot. We had a lovely view over the beautiful garden.
Location: Couldn't ask for more, so close to everything. Perfect
Service: service was brilliant, breakfast was served with orange juice tea/coffee and toast. All very fresh and cooked perfectly.
Would definately return and would without a doubt recommend to others.

I cannot say enough about this lovely little B&B. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and so very clean, with lovely clean bedding. The bathroom was sparkling, shower pressue and temperate good and the towels were clean and soft. Everything in the room appeared to be new – furniture (bed, tables, vanity table, comfy couch) to the curtains and clean carpets. The lady gave us a lovely warm welcome and was very flexible and easy to talk to on the phone, as we ended up arriving quite late at night. I want to go back again soon and visit some more of the lovely area – beautiful beaches and scenery and so much to see and do! :-)

They say it’s the small things that count and for us what really made a difference was the portable fan that was left in the bedroom! We stayed during a heatwave and without that fan would have been very uncomfortable, so the small gesture by the landlady was very much appreciated!! Parking was available and although limited we didn’t have any problems parking directly outside, and the B&B is so close to central Tenby and the beautiful beaches – a fab location! But at the same time away from the loud touristy crowds. B&B perfect for couples.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor, under the arched rafters, and I can’t say enough nice things about the roo...

We cannot recommend the Southside B+B highly enough. We stayed a Friday
and Saturday night in May and had a great welcome and stay. We will be
coming back and sending others.

Hotel - Large, substantial guest house with all rooms much bigger than we
expected. It looks like its been recently updated with new decoration and
fittings. Everything we saw was modern and spotlessly clean - a sure
winner if this was in the '3 in a bed' programme ! Great value too at the
prices charged.

Hospitality - A very warm welcome from Julie and she even moved her car for
us to park right outside the door. Otherwise parking in the street or
around the corner car park. Great service at breakfast and whenever we had
the chance to chat to Julie. Good advice about where to go and local
knowledge.

Room - A big light and airy room with large bay window to the front.
Spotlessly clean as is the rest of the house with a comfy bed. We had the
double room on the 1st floor without en-suite but the toilet/shower was
just across the landing and was only used by us as other rooms had ensuite
facilities. Flat screen TV and wash hand basin in the room as well as a
large sofa to relax on.

Location - Check it on google maps and you'll see it is just off the town
and the walk into the walls took about 3 minutes. Also very close to the
esplanade and down the hill to the harbour. No noise from outside at all
we noticed.

Breakfast - The breakfast room was at the front of the house and had about
5 tables. It was light and freshly decorated with a seaside theme. There
were cereals, juice and coffee to help yourself to and a nice atmosphere
with quiet music in the background. Full cooked breakfast was on offer
and was served hot and tasty with plenty of toast and preserves. The only
criticism was the coffee from the cafetiere could have been hotter and
maybe some vegetarian sausage or choices available (for my 'part time'
veggy wife who loves a steak).

Tenby - A unique walled town with lots of character pubs and restaurants, a
very pretty outlook and a huge beach. Town can be very lively on a
Saturday with hen/stag groups but are quite easily avoided by going to the
more up-market eateries. (Qube was good). Nice walks on the
Pembrokeshire coastal path and beaches.

We had a wonderful weekend - the weather was great and Southside topped it all off. Clean comfortable room, excellent breakfast - tailored to your choice, very friendly and helpful proprietors. Ideally positioned for beaches and town. On street parking very limited but there is a large car park just round the corner. Would definitely return and recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms at rear get sun in morning, so get bright early if sun shines

A lovely cosey, clean and well positioned B&B. Myself, mum and 3 month old baby was welcomed and a travel cot and bedding supplied by Mrs H. Lovely big rooms and huge house helped us feel private and not worried if baby cried.food was great and good choice. Would definatley go back again and would recommend to anyone. Only downside is there is not much on street parking so if you don't get a space early enough outside you may end up parking some way away. But it wouldn't put me off staying here. Top B&B. Lovely B&B. Very bright and clean. A warm welcome from Mrs Hurlow, the owner. On the doorstep for both the beautfiul beach AND the town. Will definitely recommend and when we return to Tenby, this is where we'll be!
