“A lovely find”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

Just booked this hotel blindly from a list. What a find. About 2 minutes walk from the Esplanade and 5 minutes walk from the Town. The room was very modern and very comfortable. Small but with excellent facilities. The contemporary, clean look included a SMART TV, DVD player and fridge! Big, comfortable bed. Lovely ensuite with an excellent shower (no bath).
Good breakfast with plenty to eat. The owner was extremely pleasant, chatty but not obtrusive. He was very keen that we were comfortable and happy.
Stairs quite steep and our room had only a window in the bathroom - this was made clear when booking. However, this did not detract in any way from the comfort of our stay - we were only in the room at night.
There is some on road parking but spaces are hard to find. There is a large car park a minute's walk from hotel which costs £7.00 for 24 hours.
I would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay there again if in the area.

Room Tip: There are rooms with sea views.

If I'm being honest i wouldn't class the Farnham as a hotel. To me it was more of a top of the range B & B. Only because there is no bar or lounge area. That said, we stayed in room 3 and it was immaculate. The bathroom is of 5* hotel standard and size with the usual added toiletries. The bedroom is a decent size but the door from there to the bathroom was a little awkward as it is a self closing fire door. It does have a sea view but don't expect to be able to sit and look out over it. The Hotel is a block away from the actual sea front, but you can see the beach over the car park to the right. Maybe an armchair in the room would also help. Our host Simon was superb. We didn't need anything sorting during our stay but i felt it would have been no trouble for him if we had. The breakfast slot of an hour between 8 & 9 could maybe be extended for later risers, but you could not fault the choice or quality of the food. There are plenty of leaflets available for what's going on in the area. If there was a keybox in the hall it might have prompted me to drop it in there on our last day, instead of finding it in my pocket when i got home! (I did post it back). I would recommend the Farnham as i thought it was immaculately clean and value for money. It is also ideally situated for the town centre. One more point is about the parking. The Hotel hasn't got a carpark but there are plenty close by. The one directly to the right is a pay and display. It is split into 2 periods with our stay costing £7 per 24hrs. We stayed 3 nights. There is a multi-story in town that charged £3 for 24hrs, we parked there the first night as our satnav sent us down the wrong street. Having used the car the next day we couldn't find a space when we got back so used the car park next to the hotel for the next 2 nights. That is not a complaint it's just the way it was for us.

Room Tip: I'm guessing the higher up the room the better the view. We stayed in room 3 and you did have a...

I only have good things to say about the Farnham hotel and it's owner. My husband and I have stayed here twice now, the most recent being this week and all I can say is that yet again the friendliness and kindness of the owner, the room and it's facilities and of course the wonderful breakfasts have once again helped to make our stay in Tenby a real joy. The rooms are always very clean with great facilities and this hotel has only improved since we first came here in 2012. The breakfast which consists of only items you choose is always cooked perfectly and really sets my husband and I up for the day. When we holiday in Tenby again we will, without a doubt choose the Farnham hotel as it always feels like home from home. Thank you Simon for all your hard work and kindness.

The Farmham doesn't jump at you from outside and scream luxury but the delux and superior rooms we booked certainly did. The rooms had hotel quality furnishing and fabulous bathrooms. Although it was a little more than we would usually spend it was worth it.Simon the owner is brill and must be the most organised manager going. Beautiful breakfast, relaxed friendly atmosphere and spotless!

This is a nice quiet little hotel. Very clean and close to everything you want to see. The host is very friendly and makes a good hot breakfast, according to my husband. Our stay was a very pleasant one and we would use this hotel again in the future.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: The Farnham Hotel serves a large and truly excellent breakfast – just then thing when attending the Tenby Blues Festival. I would not stay anywhere else. It is scrupulously clean—well refurnished—and cheerful. The only thing that could be better would be to have the Farnham Hotel right on the sea front – but it’s near enough for a morning stroll before the music of the festival gets under way. There are sea views however – so one is never far away from one of the main attractions. The wi-fi—unlike some places—is not only functional – but fast. (beware of hotels that offer _the Cloud as free wi-fi, because it is highly unreliable.) The service at the Farnham Hotel is outstanding – both genuinely welcoming and friendly. Simon—the proprietor—endeavours to his utmost to please guests. My wife and I stayed for three nights and would be most happy to return every time we attend the Tenby Blues Festival.
