“A good stay”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

Just back from staying at The Strathmore, and enjoyed our stay. Went with my girlfriend, who is fussy about "cleanliness" and she was happy with the standards. The bed was comfy, and the room was of a good size... the decor is nothing special but perfectly acceptable. Tea / coffee are in the rooms on arrival, as were some bathroom products.

Despite there being no dedicated parking, we were able to park in the large car park immediately behind the property and as it was off-season, there was no charge. I'm not sure about how much this would cost in peak-season, nor how much space there would be, but it was convenient for us.

Breakfast was good... the plates really are hot and it was well cooked, and served promptly. Its an early breakfast though... 8:30am - 9am might put some people off, particularly if you've had a late night. Having said that, I'm aware that they did put on later breakfasts for people who came down late and they seem a very helpful couple.

The only problem we had was with other guests... not the fault of the owners at all, and they dealt with a difficult situation well. These things happen, but the professionalism was admirable.

I'd definitely stay again if I returned to Tenby - thanks for a great stay!

Just returned from another excellent stay at The Strathmore, joe and jo are excellent hosts and very approachable, rooms are clean an warm. Breakfast is very good and joe always asks if you want anything else. Very good value for money. Street parking in Tenby can be a bit of a nightmare due to a lot of permit parking for residents (only fare I suppose ), thank the lord for whoever has put a car park on the old ford garage. £5 for 24hrs or £2 1800hrs to 0800hrs. At the tops it's 5 mins from here to The Stratmore. I highly recommend this bnb.

Great location. You could see the sea from the front bay window. Two minutes walk from town. Clean. Jose and Jo made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was piping hot. Managed to park in street for the whole weekend for free. Will certainly stay there again.

Excellent location for the beautiful seafront of Tenby and its walled town, restaurants etc. Very friendly and welcoming and all that you could ask for from a B&B. There are a couple of free parking spaces outside but the majority is for permit holders only. I can imagine that in season it would be difficult so large public car park directly behind the B&B would then need to be used.
