Description: The Baytree restuarant is situated in the heart of Tenby's charming Tudor Square. We are open all year around, serving meals and drinks from 11am to 10.00Pm in the summer (please note we operate shorter hours outside of peak season). Our menu incorporates local produce wherever possible including fish caught just off Tenby's coast! Our mackerel and lobster are particular favourites with our regulars. We also cater for vegetarians and have a varied children's menu.At the rear of the restaurant, our sheltered private terrace can seat up to 24 people. During the summer when the town is pedestrianised during the day, we also have tables and chairs out in Tudor Square. We can cater for private parties of up to 100 people and large groups are welcome by prior arrangement.

Lovely food and big portion sizes although the food is rather over priced. Lunches are better value than evening meals.

We dined here as a couple on fri 6th April, celebrating our Wedding Anniversary, and returned the next night with 4 friends, luckily we had booked as both nights we saw several people being turned away. The food was excellent as usual, freshly prepared and cooked and thoroughly enjoyed by us all. We had the Mackerel pate, Camembert and Chicken starters, and Pork, Duck, Lamb, Chicken and Steak for mains. As I was the only one who wanted dessert (a fabulous Bailey's cheesecake!), it was willingly wrapped up for me to take it home. We love the food and atmosphere of The Baytree and feel very deprived if we are ever unfortunate enough to find it fully booked!

We tried to get reservations for a Saturday night when we stopped by in the mid-afternoon for 8pm, and the nice woman at the counter told us that it was unlikely we would be seated before 9:30. We came back around 8:45 and were seated a bit earlier than expected. The atmosphere was lovely - particularly with the live music - but the surf and turf was just plain bad. The thin steak was overcooked and swimming in a bland sauce while the small prawns tasted horribly fishy and off. My partner was more pleased with his moist and flavourful trout than I was with my dish. The Bailey's cheesecake offered further disappointment. While it had a nice Bailey's taste, the consistency was more of gelatine than of cheesecake and we ultimately didn't finish it - which is rare for us!

i was utterly dissappointed on my recent visit to baytree as i had heard nothing but good reviews. however, it was late afternoon, and the menus had onky just been switched over, and me and my mother were very much looking forward to a lovely sandwich/panini type snack, only to be told by the waitress that we could only choose off the evening menu, even though there were 3 staff we could see and NO other customers! this was also followed by an attitude problem when we said we had to find somewhere else. gutted.
