Lovely warm welcome by the owners Yvonne and Russell.Attention to detail in everyway.Breakfast was superb and the room was lovely with great views.Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a peaceful retreat but one which has easy access to all attractions in the surrounding area. You won't get better than this..will definitely be going back n the near future.

Words may not do justice to the quite wonderful experience we recently had at the St. Lawrence Country Guest House. This beautiful country house is perfectly positioned just outside Tenby, to provide peaceful yet convenient access to surrounding roads. The ensuite rooms all share stunning coastal views of Caldey Island/ rolling lush countryside. They were immaculately clean, really comfortable and equiped to a high quality standard, which is a perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind.

The surrounding grounds/garden also provide an interesting walk including the historic Gumfreston Church and Wishing wells. We always looked forward to breakfast time in the conservatory area. Delicious home made breads, preserves, fresh eggs from resident hens and scrumptious own recipe Glamorgan sausages and scrambled eggs/super omelettes made to preference. All this with stunning coastal views as a backdrop made it a great way to start the day.

Most importantly though, Yvonne and Russel made us feel completely at home with a genuine care and friendliness, which is rare at such establishments. They always made time to have a friendly word to us/all the guests. Their recommendations for where to eat out, which walk to go on etc were also spot on. It is this warm and caring human touch coupled with the house, grounds and location which make St. Lawrence Country Guest house an excellent place to stay. We were sad to leave..

NB. I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to do so in this case.

Yvonne and Russell were very welcoming when greeting us in 'their home'.
A beautiful house set in wonderful grounds where you can explore and admire the picturesque views over the surrounding countryside down to the sea. The room was very clean with lovely decor and all that you could wish for right down to the crystal glasses. The honesty bar was well stocked with very reasonably priced drinks, nibbles etc..
Breakfast was really tasty using local produce including their own free range eggs.
A lovely stay with a delightful couple.

My mother and I recently returned from a short 3 night break - our first experience of staying at a B&B for some time. It was everything - and more - that we could have wished for. Russell and Yvonne welcome you to their home and make you feel part of a family. They are passionate about the service that they provide, the fine quality products and the ingredients in their breakfast - especially the eggs from their own hens, and their home-made bread. Everything is spotlessly clean and there is real attention to detail. You wouldn't find a better room in a top quality hotel. They provide everything that you could possibly require, including binoculars to view the wildlife in the surrounding countryside.

We would love to return again one day. It is a perfect retreat. We would also like to see how their various projects develop in the future.

We rarely recommend accommodation to others because some people are so fussy or difficult to please, however, we cannot think of anyone who enjoys the countryside and the quiet life who would find fault with this fine B&B. It deserves a gold star!

Room Tip: Simply discuss your requirements with Yvonne!

Russell and Yvonne are some of the most loving people I have ever met. They tend to your every need. The B&B is a spacious house set in the most beautiful scenery. You can look out your window and see the ocean just beyond the lush, green landscape. A historical church and graveyard are next to the property as well. Behind the church are three healing springs that run together and I almost took a dip. :-) If you would like to go into town for some dinner, it is not far away. I cannot say enough about this B&B and the wonderful couple that runs it. I wish and pray them all the best. You really must visit!! If I'm ever in Wales again, I will definitely pay them another visit and this time stay longer.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely guesthouse. Yvonne and Russell have done up their property wonderfully - we really enjoyed the Chamuel room which had two rooms in one with an en suite bathroom. It slept 3 very comfortably. The view of the meadow and the garden was really nice and calming, we got to spy on the rabbits and pheasants from the comfort of our room :)

Breakfast was really good, I really liked the vegetarian sausages!

We will definitely recommend this place to whoever's going to Tenby.. It's close enough to town and yet offers countryside solace :)

We stayed at the St Lawrence Guest House for two nights and we will definitely go back in the future. In the area there are so many landmarks to see (the nearby Tenby and Carew Castle are fantastic sites) that you need more than two days to explore them all. The owners of the guest house are very friendly and helpful. They are always available for questions or advice. The hearty breakfast is delicious: free range eggs, home made bread and jam, tasty local sausages and bacon...the rooms are clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Uriel room and despite being the smallest one, it is very cosy and comfortable. Last but not least, for all the dog lovers there is a lovely resident pet, Bute, always ready to welcome you and make you feel at home!
