“Loverly B & B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

Just spent a loverly night at Hillgarth House with my husband, daughter and two of her friends. The girls had a great triple room and we had the Delux Double which was very spacious and had a fab bathroom with a waterfall shower. King Size Waterbed was different!!! Not sure if I'll be buying one soon, it was very comfortable but also very weird when you turn over. The view from our room was wonderful all the way down to the sea and the girls also had a loverly view of the well kept gardens. Pauline and Roley are loverly hosts and cooked us a great Welsh breakfast, which really set us up for the day.

Room Tip: Delux room if you fancy the water bed or suite if not. Both are loverly rooms.

Just returned from a delightful trip to Pembrokeshire. Hillgarth House is a great location with the beautiful Manorbier beach just a mile away. Well positioned for walkers but, if not, the local buses to Tenby/Pembroke stop at the bottom of the drive.
Roly and Pauline were extremely helpful/ knowledgeable and made us feel very welcomed.
The room was spotless and the cooked breakfast excellent.Free wifi

Positives - fantastic bathroom with monsoon shower, lovely views, near the sea, nice hosts.

Negatives - Whole property smelt a bit of old, cooked vegetables, flies buzzing around breakfast room and fruit laid out for breakfast, decor a little dated.

Stayed in the deluxe room, very comfortable, spacious, has everything you need. Very clean place. Good walk in shower-spacious and very powerful-nice after a day of walking around the cliffs.
Great location, very close to Tenby but also just up the road from a Manorbier village centre - shop and pub.
Very friendly hosts, approachable and knowledgeable.
Breakfast tasty, fresh, especially the bacon.
The surroundings - fields, horses and sheep, view over the fields extending to the sea, garden very well maintained, full of trees and green plants...very nice to look at.

Overall highly recommended, although maybe the price is a little higher than usual, it is worth it.

Room Tip: Stayed in the deluxe room- did not realize it has a water bed..so if you dont want one choose a diff...

A last minute booking, that was a real treat. Mr & Mrs Butler were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Their spacious home was ideally laid out to provided a comfortable environment for a B&B. Spotlessly clean, plenty of hot water, luxurious towels and a fresh bed enabled us to enjoy a relaxing evening. The quiet setting and comfortable bed meant a lie on before a generous breakfast which included a fresh fruits, cereals and a full English breakfast all good quality. Definitely value for money and a lovely locality to revisit.

Room Tip: I went with my daughter,so the twin room and separate toilet and bath were ideal.

We stayed at Hillgarth House for two nights last week and were most impressed with the cheerful, friendly reception we had from Roley and Pauline. Our twin room was comfortable and clean with a good view. The breakfast each morning was really wonderful, plentiful and beautifully cooked! We are happy to recommend this B&B to anybody holidaying in the area.
