I telephoned the helpline as instructed on Saturday 10th September 2016 to find out if the boat services was running since although it was a calm sunny day, the previous day had been very windy. The telephone message said that there were boat trips running every 20 minutes starting at 10a.m.. However when we arrived (a 30 minute drive from our cottage and £3 to park) there was a sign saying "next boat trip on Monday". The weather had not changed and there was no explanation. We were not impressed.

First boat trip for many years, even though we are regular holidaymakers to Tenby. Opted for the Island Cruise as my son was more for a nice gentle boat after having been seasick on a crossing to the Channel Islands. The weather was amazing, the sea was like a mill pond.
The trip was amazing-an hour flew past so quickly. Saw plenty of seals. The boat cut its engines and got in really close to a rock full of them and turned the boat , giving plenty of camera opportunities for all. Saw birds, got the lowdown on Calder Island too.
In all, a wonderful hour and a quarter and worth every penny. Will try the Seal Safari next time.

Went today on the seal safari trip around Caldey Island and St Margarets. A great trip, lots of seals and birds. A real swell in the sea gave more excitement to the boat ride. Matt, one of the crew, was excellent with his local knowledge of both the wildlife and island history. We'll go again in May when the birds are nesting.

A very relaxing hour and quarter island cruise around St Margaret's and Calday Island. Excellent views of the islands and with some historical facts from the skipper. We also say seals, jellyfish and cormorants, so a bonus as not advertised as part of the trip.

Looked the seal safari on the speed boat. We went round Caldey Island looking for seals and soon saw them. The guide was knowledgable and also gave us kits of time to take pictures and enjoy the seals. He told us not just the seals but also local birds. We were the last tour of the day so we also got a little extra time as it took a while to see the seals. One of the girls lost her hat due to the speed of the boat and wind and the staff managed to rescue it from the sea which was lovely of them. Do book on busy days as the boat was nearly full - the tour before ours definitely was. My only negative is that all tours queue at the same place but the seal safari is one of the only non-fishing boats. Just make sure you are there in plenty of time.
