Had lunch here two days running once as a couple and once with a group
The first time a couple of drinks and jacket potatoes that were absolutely stuffed with prawns
The second a mixture of sandwiches and soups
The friends with us also ordered a mix of cask ales that all went down well and three pints of brains that proved to have come from the bottom of the barrel, were changed without question and profound apologies

Great tasting dinner but if I ordered the roast dinner next time I would ask for the gravy on the 'side'. They were overly generous for my liking. Otherwise great food and atmosphere.

Good location - quite lively and comfortable - did not try the food we were there to see the Pint sized theatre group but would go back again for a longer visit

On a recent visit to Tenby my wife and I called into The Five Arches Tavern for a spot of lunch basically because I was attracted to the prospect of a pint of Theakstons... I ordered a couple of different sandwiches, a glass of Merlot and a pint of Theakstons and was promptly told that they had no Theakstons. Hey Ho, not being put off and feeling pretty good with the world I ordered a pint of some nondescript local cask ale and awaited the snacks. After a short while the sandwiches appeared and were placed before us. Curled up dry brown bread with mashed up beef and mashed up roast pork served with wilting lettuce again turning brown at the edges. What a disgrace. If this is the best food a Welsh pub in the centre of Tenby can offer the public then it's time to give up. It's been a long long time since I had food and drink in a pub in the UK that was that bad. And, after all, how hard can it be? Sarnies and beer... I ask you...

Hi,
Just a quick response to your review regarding my pub, I was really shocked to read what you had written, as
1... We don't and never have sold Merlot by the glass.
2... We don't and never have sold Pork, its not even on our menu,
So I am puzzled as to how you came to the conclusion to write what you did.
thank you

This pub was a heaven send when all you want to eat is meat and two veg.Usually all you can find are chips! The staff were friendly and it was ok to be in there and not be a local
