Great spot, great room (sea-view room essential), great breakfast, great garden, great scott! - this is turning into a ... well ... GREAT review. BUT: you must book a parking space because it’s almost impossible to park outside. In that light, here’s the gist of a baffling email conversation I had with the Fourcroft reception prior to my arrival:
ME: 'Because it's impossible to park or stop in front of your hotel, I've booked a paid space in your car-park. I presume it's at the rear, but how do I access it please?'
HOTEL: 'I can confirm you have a reserved space, but you'll need to collect a numbered permit from reception before you park, and then they'll give you directions.'
ME: 'And whilst I'm doing that, shall I fold up my vehicle and put it in my pocket?'*
*OK, I didn't really say that last bit, but as I didn't get a satisfactory 'non-circular reply', I just parked in the nearest space and checked-in. I only wish they’d just said this in the first place. Minor gripe though.More
