Stopped off at this great little pub on our last night in Tenby as the food was reasonable priced over a lot of the other restaurants.
I loved this place the moment I walked in - cosy, lots of tables squeezed in & a bar that's made out of an old ship! : ) Fantastic character!
The pub is sat on two levels & had low ceilings with beams but tall enough for my boyfriend who's over 6ft tall. they also have an outdoor seating area as well.
We ordered a pint & a soft drink at the bar which came to just over £5.00 & were given menus & told to find a table.
We decided on the Steak & Guinness pie & The Lifesaver Burger which I ordered at the bar.
It took about 20-30 minutes & we received our food. The portion sizes were pretty big! : )
My burger was amazing! It was the first burger I've eaten where bits don't fall out, or I've run out of one of the baps near the end. I felt nice & full by the end & only left a few chips.
My boyfriend polished off his pie & chips. You could taste the Guinness in it as well which sometimes seems to be lacking in a lot of ale pies you buy. It wasn't too boozy either so it didn't overpower the pie itself.
Overall, great food, great atmosphere & I'd highly recommend stopping here for tea & evening/early morning drinks! ; )
