“Half Term Break”
Reviewed 17 February 2012

Myself,my husband and our 6 year old grandson went for a two night break at this lovely, cosy, well kept hotel. The welcome we had there was fantastic, all the staff were so very nice, especially Lindsay the receptionist. The room was lovely and spacious with comfortable beds and a large widscreen television. We went to the swimming pool twice on this visit, and my grandson loved it.There was also a Gym which we didnt go into. The food was very nice and the waiting staff were very pleasant, always checking we were ok for everything. We would definatly return to this hotel if we go back to Tenby.

Spent 2 nights at the Heywood Mount Hotel with my partner and our children aged 3 and 5 years and had a such a fantastic time, we cannot wait to return! I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone staying in Tenby but from a parental point of view, this hotel was very sucessful in meeting all of our needs.

We stayed in the family executive room which had 2 single beds for the children either side of the King (2 singles together). This was our first plus as my littles darlings settled better at bedtime when located apart!! An allocated outdoor patio area with table and chairs was also provided albeit a little chilly this time of year (Feb). The room was warm; very clean; had ample hot water; powerful shower and great refreshment options. Hardly any noise from neighbours and a great nights sleep.

The pool had steps leading into it - which made it very accessable for our tiddler. Breakfast was very tasty and the staff attentive. We didn't have an evening meal but the menu looked delicious and so would definately dine next time.

We are all looking forward to returning to the Heywood Mount - if you spot a KGB/similar voucher deal, don't hesitate in purchasing it as you won't be treated any differently to those on normal tariff.

Room Tip: Executive family room adaquately accomodates family of 4.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, very clean, very polite and helpful staff. We did arrive late and the female receptionist was extremely helpful, offered to carry our luggage to the room. She also gave us a guided tour of the hotel. She even telephoned us a taxi for each night that we visited Tenby town centre, although it was only a fifteen minute walk it was raining so took the easy option. Chambermaids were extremely obliging asking if we needed extra tea, coffee, sugar in the room. The rooms were extremely spacious, flat screen tv on the wall, fridge in the room, wine glasses and bottle opener. The bathroom was very big with power shower and lots of storage space and shampoo, body wash, shoe shine kit provided. Restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was superb vast choice that would suit every diet, cereal, fruit juice, toast, english or welsh breakfast, wide choice of teas and coffee. Also made use of the leisure facilities which were clean and towels provided. No complaints whatsoever and would definitely return to this hotel and definitely highly recommend to family and friends. The people that make complaints on this site are people who are out to pick fault in everything and are just negative people.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked Tenby rugby ground so my partner was well pleased being a rugby fan.

Spent the weekend with friends at the Heywood Mount on a KGB deal for a 50th birthday celebration. Quite often when on a deal you get a second rate service, but in this case it was fantastic! The staff were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The rooms were spotless, spacious and well equiped. The food was amazing, I would definitely recommend dinner! Bar prices were really reasonable. Overall experience 10/10

A lovely hotel situated in a good location, a twenty minute walk into the town centre. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was lovely as was the evening meal we had in the restaurant, we used the spa facilities and were very satisfied with them. The staff we encountered was friendly and very polite. We will certainly make a return visit.

Myself and a friend had a girly break here which we do often in the UK and abroad our experience was good enough to let others know about
Location is great it was 2 minutes in a car from town or a short walk,

Our room was lovely had all the extras (tea/coffee and lush biscuits)fridge, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, large tv...great shower over the bath, and very clean cofortable beds etc
Indoor pool jaccuzi and sauna (NOT many of these in UK hotels, pool towels were also provided)

Brakfast was lovely (No buffet!! all freshly cooked to order grat choice too all the normal juices cereals toast etc...BUT the opyion of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs...kippers etc and served to you makes it a real holiday when you don't have to line up in a queue for your food!!
Evening meal was lovely ..again a fab choice and a great 3 course deal...
Staff were very helpfull giving information of places to go etc

We had gone on a cheap deal BUT!! had exactly what I would have expected if paying full price, even then it would have been excellent value for money and a lovely experience

Thanks to all the staff we couldn't have wished for better and WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Spent a brilliant 2 Night New Year Break at Heywood Mount with a group of friends. The package was a great value for money compared with other places we have stayed at this time of the year. We booked a classic room and they did seem to vary as ours was quite a bit smaller than others in our party, but was fine for a short break. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and worked their socks off, especially on New Years Eve, so many thanks to them all for that. The food on both evenings was first class. The location of the hotel is good - only a short stroll into Tenby and it great beach front.
