Yes the hotel needs updating and it will be lovely when completed next year
We had three nights here ate in the restaurant once a very good meal and breakfast is very good too the staff are so helpful and friendly nothing seems to much
We had a good sized room with a decking area very nice to open the French doors out and sit with a glass of wine / coffee :-)
The bar area is comfy just needs more stock of Prosecco for our next visit

Room Tip: We wanted a ground floor room and it was nice a good size

Hotel under new management, had been open 4 weeks at the time of our stay. Staff were friendly, helpful, spa/pool facilities as to be expected from this type of hotel. Evening meal was excellent.

Room was a little on the small side for the class of hotel but pleasant.

Stay included the hotel's first "stress test" being fully booked for a sporting event over the weekend, for which it seemed to perform admirably.

Hotel is just too far out of the city centre to make walking there pleasant, but free parking available in the city centre from 5.30pm.

Room Tip: Rooms 20-21 not very well soundproofed between them

I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and in all fairness it was good before the new management took over but now they have really upped the ante by offering not only very high standards of accomodation but excellent hospitality. We stayed here as a group of 3 x couples who were attending a wedding in St Florence. Traffic was bad that day and 2 of our party were late in checking in so the owner took them to the wedding in her Jeep as a taxi would not come in time, absolutely above and beyond what was required and we cant thank them enough for our stay. If its a nice day grab yourself a drink from the bar and sit outside on the patio area....beautiful. The breakfast was lovely it was like a gourmet full english, very tasty. Will not hesistate to book again and will probably do so very soon. My thanks to the managment once again, keep up the excellent work.

Room Tip: four poster rooms are great but all rooms are good here

My partner booked a room as a surprise at the Haywood Mount and I wasn't disappointed. The staff at front desk were very pleasant and couldn't do enough for us.. We were asked if we minded having a different room than we'd booked due to a mix up with they're booking which wasn't a problem to us and we appreciated the discount we relieved in return. Nice comfortable bar to have a drink before setting off in to Tenby for our evening meal. Got to say though that the menu looked superb and was slightly disappointed that we'd booked a table else where. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable.. My one and only complaint is that the TV in room No 19 needs to be moved Haywood Mount because you can't see in from the bed..! Lovely stay and highly recommend.!

My husband and I have just returned from a few days in Tenby, staying at the Heywood Mount, and couldn't have wished for a better place. We had an executive room, which was excellent - the bed was enormous! We ate in the restaurant on two nights and had a lovely meal both times, the food could not be faulted in any way - and the breakfasts are as good as dinner.

One of the great advantages to this hotel is the on site parking, which many hotels in Tenby do not have.

We were unfortunate enough to have a car accident while in the area - somebody went into the back of our car and did a lot of damage - but Claire, her husband and all staff couldn't have been more helpful and even offered to run us back home to Birmingham if necessary!!!

Claire and her husband have recently taken over this lovely hotel and apparently have plans to make changes early next year by adding an orangery etc but I have to say it already has excellent facilities and we would have no hesitation in going back in the future. You will not find friendlier people anywhere.

Room Tip: Suites and executive rooms overlook a small but lovely grassed area and are well worth the extra cha...

I work allover the country and this is the best hotel I have stayed it. Lovely room, food, service and only a short walk to Tenby town center. The owners Pete and Claire really sorted us out and are great people

I was staying here with work, and I couldn't say a bad word about this hotel and it's staff.
The location is in a lovely quiet area of tenby but still within a short walk to the beach and the town. While the staff were all friendly and more than happy to help you out with any information about my stay or of tenby. I won't hesitate to stay here again!!
