The beaches around Tenby are spacious with plenty of golden sand. Castle beach is wonderful. We settled in a small cove a little further west, private and out of the wind, but when the tide comes in you need to be prepared to wait for it to go out again. Or else swim for it. Don't go up the steps, they lead to the back courtyard of a hotel. We had a good laugh, and no doubt so did the people looking down from the road above.
