We started in room 110, which had a sea view, and a balcony. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay so much we asked for another night, but room 110 was not available. We were transferred by staff to room 104.!! WOW this was an amazing room. Light, airy with separate shower cubicle in bathroom. Balcony was much bigger, giving us even better sea views, even when in bed you could see the sea from every window. Lifts to all floors make it perfect for the less mobile. Staff are so welcoming, everyone smiling and pleasant,no matter how busy they were. The food (we had both the breakfasts and an evening meal) were superb, the evening meal was 3 courses , with choices for each one, followed by tea or coffee. even though they were very busy, the waitresses seemed to find time for conversation and making sure everything was to your liking.
No negatives about this hotel, we came home today and are already looking at when we can rebook for another stay.. In room 104 of course.

Room Tip: Sea views are spectacular, ask for a premier room to get the best of everything.

My husband & I stayed at the Clarence House Hotel in July 2013 with a large group from Brecon Town Concert Band during the band's summer tour to Tenby! We had a lovely room with a spectacular sea view for 2 nights & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel's staff were friendly & welcoming, our room was clean & comfortable and had everything needed for our stay. Bar prices were very attractive particularly during 'happy hour' & breakfasts were more than adequate. The hotel's garden was a lovely place to sit & relax with a cool beer! Overall the hotel offered good value for money in a great location on the sea front & we hope to visit again soon!

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for a room with a sea view!

We stayed here 27-28 July 2013 a family of 4 we booked 2 twin rooms, lovely big hotel on the seafront, no parking so would advise to park either on the street (if you are very lucky!!) or just pay £8 for 48hrs in the car park at the end of the promenade. Arrived at 1.00, you could access rooms a bit later but 1 room was ready so we left all our belongings in there, lovely helpful reception staff were more than happy to help with leaving our bags in reception if required , they were keen to book a table for us in a restaurant that we wanted to go that evening too, and also to answer any questions about anything you needed to know. Hotel rooms were clean and tidy – nice small plasma TV with remote, shower and towels provided, hairdryer and a small soap available. Beds were comfy , laundry was clean and fresh, tea/coffee available but could have done with a biscuit or something. There was a singer suppose to be there that evening but she had cancelled last minute, I thought a quiz or something could have been arranged instead to keep the people in the bar entertained but nothing came about, board games were on offer and a bit of background music. Please be aware that there is no reception staff throughout the night , and you are to come and go as you please, this is what a lot of groups of men and women did constantly throughout the night, lots of doors banging, running up stairs and loud talking & swearing, it didn’t keep my kids awake but my husband and myself were woken up continuously throughout the night. We were on the 1st floor. In the morning, breakfast was lovely, good choice served to your table and the waitresses were very helpful and chatty. Can’t comment on lunch time food but the carvery looked lovely and they seemed very busy around lunch time. They have got their own private garden opposite the hotel with access down to the beach ,free wifi that seemed to work only in the reception area and they have 3 happy hours during the day so something for everyone. There’s a nice feel to this hotel and I would definitely book again, the introduction of a night porter or reception member maybe, could help to reduce noise levels of people returning throughtout the night, which would not disturb people that have already gone to bed.

I got to the hotel and it looked nice. inside is quite old fashioned but its has a homely feel to it the rooms on the top floor where I stayed we're quite small. But suitable for a weekend, our friends stayed in 114 a sea view room it's superb a double and single bed with balcony. The best thing by far was the view it's unbelievable! Sun, sea, and sights.

Room Tip: Have a room sea view or 1st or2nd floor the 4th floor has tiny windows so you cannot see the incredi...

Thank you for your lovely review. Please remember, the Clarence House Hotel is NOT a purpose-built hotel and all of our rooms are different shapes and sizes. We are also a Grade 2 listed building and therefore not allowed to change the window size or shape on the 4th floor bedrooms.

As a gay couple, looking for somewhere to take our fur babies, this hotel ticked all our boxes.

Yes ok, the decor is a little dated, but this is a hotel by the beach that allows dogs to stay. There was not a SINGLE dog hair in the room or in our ensuite. The staff were lovely and friendly and everywhere was CLEAN and tidy and looks to us to of had a fairly recent freshen up with a touch of paint.

Would be visit again? Absolutely!

Value for money with food, accommodation, entertainment and great staff.
The hotel set overlooking the South beach gave stunning views over to Caldy Island. Easy access to the walled town of Tenby with plenty of resting places for the less able.
Hoping to rebook again as the members gave the stay 'thumbs up' all round
Thanks to Mrs Penny Phillips for the special care and attention to our disabled members. Also it was worth meeting Hubert and having him along for some of the trips we made.
Thank you all very much.

Room Tip: Speak with the staff prior to arrival to let them know of any special requirements or needs.

we stayed here over the Mayday bank holiday, just me and my boyfriend it was very easy to find but it has no car park of its own so we had to go around the block to find a parking space, we were lucky that we found one within mins but im sure some people might of had to look a lot longer.

We were on the second floor and had a room with a sea view just i must say was stunning!! the room was a good size but a slightly odd shape but that didnt matter as we mostly looked out of the window!! the bed was massive and very nice to sleep on and the un-suite was every nice.

when we got there we were told that it was happy hour for the rest of the night we didnt plan on staying in but had 1 or 2 before going out and a few coming back and it was the cheapest please we drank.

the breakfast was the normal full english and that was fine with me but my boyfriend could of eaten 2 of them!

Tenby is a beautiful area and we will be going back soon and would stay again in the Clarence although i thought it was a little expensive but it was the bank holiday weekend!

Room Tip: make sure you have a sea view
