My sister and mother and I had booked into another hotel, but on arrival decided not to stay there. We then had the task of finding another one at such short notice. The Esplanade gave us such a warm welcome and it was no trouble at all the shows the available rooms. My sister and I had a family room, with a settee, balcony and sea view, it was really comfortable, loads of space and lovely cotton sheets. Mum had a single room, again this was great but without the view. The location of this hotel is so wonderful, just across the road literally are ample benches where you can spend hours (mum did) literally gazing out to see or reading, with the hotel on hand for coffees and use of the toilets or back to the room. So near to town, but away from any hustle and bustle and noise at night. Would thoroughly recommend.

We stayed one night, had a room with a nice view, however the most important part was bad, the matrass, it was small and we rolled off the bed on boith sides, when you turn your hear the steel springs jump.

Lovely looking hotel, with great views, but as a customer visiting a guest at the establishment, I wasn't THAT impressed. Overpriced drinks and a tired looking residents bar. Abrupt receptionists and bored bar-staff made my meeting an unmemorible one!

Stayed for an overnight stay with my Husband, booked a sea view room, small but adequate for one night, Bed appeared to be a small double and had seen better days. Room was very clean and provided tea and coffee and a small bottle of water.
Owners friendly.
Breakfast was very good we both had a full english/welsh!! But there was also fruit, cerals etc.
We both had fried bread I am not a lover of that and would've preferred to have had another choice!
All in all a good small hotel that was good value for money and would stay again.

Room Tip: Book a sea view

Enjoyed the location but couldnt afford the four poster bed in the suite room. Nice looking though. On the corner of the promenade with cliff and ocean view towards Caldy Island.

Great spot for walks -either down the cliff face onto the glorious Golden beach or straight through the arches into the ancient town.

Meals availabe here. Parking may be an issue so check first. The limited parking is watched vigourously if you park on the main cliff street so be warned.
Great spot for a hotel though. NEar the old castle walls .

Room Tip: Try and ask for a sea view (most sought after but likely to cost a bit more)
