“Wonderful sea views”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

We knew that there was no parking at the hotel so my wife stayed in the car whilst I unloaded. Reception took my name and gave directions to car parks (two within 300 yards £7/24 hours or 500 yards multi-story at £2/24 hours). We parked in the multi-story and walked back to the hotel. When we went to Reception, the cases had already been taken to our room. The sea view is magnificent with a huge middle sash window and 2 smaller sash windows either side. There is only a small road between you and the sea. Breakfast lovely and plenty of extra tea and toast as requested. We had the Welsh tea in the afternoon which was also very nice. All management and staff very helpful and friendly and restaurants recommendations were spot on. Would we return - most definitely yes!

Room Tip: Room 14 superb sea views, 4 poster bed and jacuzzi bath

In Tenby this weekend for the long course event. Hotel was clean well presented and a warm welcome greeted us. Was able to have breakfast early as husband competing in the marathon and needed to eat earlier than the timed breakfast. Lovely breakfast table avalible with juices fruit and cereal.. And a filling cooked breakfast that filled us for the day. The room was spotless and bed comfy. Would definitely recommend this delightful hotel and we shall return for a longer stay next time! Thanks again. Emma and Lee Mills

We travelled by train to Tenby the trip was lovely but there was only one train every 2 hours from Swansea, which was a bit of a pain.
We walked to the hotel and was greeted by a wonderful room with absolutely breath taking views of the bay, St Catherine's Island Caldy Island and St Margaret's Island, we were there for the longest day of the year and we watched the sunset from our room at around 1015, which was lovely.
We were there for 2 nights and breakfast on both days was lovely, sitting by the window watching the beautiful clear sea, lapping up on a beautiful sandy beach.
After breakfast we went for a walk around Tenby and found that they had just opened St Catherine's Island and for £3.00 we could go up on the Island but only for a short time as once the tide came in you would be cut off. At the moment you can only go up to look around the Island but they will be hoping to open a Nepoleonic Fort up shortly, once the draw bridge has been sorted.
We also did a boat trip around Caldy Island to see the seals and amazing bird life. You can go onto Caldy Island every day except Sunday where there is a Monastery where you can visit.
We found quite a few lovely places to eat and a real ale pub called the crown inn.
All in all it was a lovely amazing first visit and one in which we will return too.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the sea view you won't be disappointed

Room ok, we had sea view, worth the extra money. Just across road from town wall, great views Beach is across road, couldn't be much closer. Breakfast good choice, including smoked salmon.
Bad points, no parking, there are couple car parks close by that charge £7 for 24 hours, if you fancy longer walk then multi storey for £2 for 24 hours.
We didn't manage to catch the bar open, do if you want a later drink, stay in town.
Overall good stay

We stayed here recently, on a once-off trip to Tenby, paying about €145 for a booking for a family room (B & B) with about a weeks notice. It was the last night of our holiday, and despite the many attractions of Tenby (and they are many), this hotel did not contribute to the overall holiday offering, despite the friendly staff. The room, while fresh, was poorly furnished and drab. It seems in many ways to be like a hotel from the 60's, similar to many I've encountered in Wales, particularly the old seaside towns. Having said that, we were never troubled by noisy neighbours, the view was good, and the breakfast was excellent. I would have been happy with this hotel at about half the price we paid, or happy with the price if the hotel was much better. As it stood, the value was poor. Avoid if you're on a romantic break, avoid if you want value.

We stayed for two nights in june in the deluxe seaview room. The view was incredible to say the least. The room was gorgeous and worth every penny, clean, comfortable and furnished to perfection. The breakfast was good enough to set you up for the day and the service was great, nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again as it was in a perfect walking location to all that you need to see and do in this beautiful seaside town...The only downside that I could think of is the lack of parking. There is a huge pay and display carpark at the end of the same street, if you don't travel light you will need to have wheels on your cases. The car park will cost you about £40 for the week so this will need to factor in your budgeting.

Thank you very much for your review, we`re very happy that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. With regard to parking, for next time, you are more than welcome to pull up outside our front door and drop your bags off. The Rectory car park has just gone onto pay and display, and does seem overpriced. However, a short walk away we have the multi storey charging £2.00 for 24 hours on the upper levels, so this may be another option for you.
Kind Regards
Julie Andrasko

Great location, right on the sea front within easy walking distance of the town. Very welcoming, rooms were spacious and clean and the breakfast was lovely. Excellent value for money. Afternoon tea is available which was very enjoyable, taken in the dining room which overlooks the sea.

Room Tip: The view from rooms at the front is worth paying extra for
