“A great value”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

The room was tidy and comfortable. We stayed in the family suite on the top-floor walk up. The views were great; the staff were very friendly, and the price included an ample breakfast.
The location truly cannot be beaten--just steps from the harbour and incredible beaches.
All in all, this is an excellent value.

We stayed for two nights in a sea view room. The view is lovely, and it was a treat to sit in the bay window watching the world go by. The room was clean and the four poster very comfortable.
Breakfast was great! We'll cooked good quality food makes a big change to the buffet style hotel stuff! The owners and staff are very friendly and were always about to answer any questions.
This is a very good guesthouse that is well worth the price, and try to get a sea view!

We have stayed here twice and shall undoubtedly do so again. The view across the beach to Caldey Island, the Gower and, on a clear day, North Devon coast in the distance, is superb. The breakfast was excellent and it was handy having tea room and bar facilities later in the day. The helpful hint to use the multi-storey car park was really handy, especially as there is no charge overnight, so one day's parking covered us for two nights.

Only downside we noticed was slightly awkward steps up from road for a disabled person.

Room Tip: The first floor room with a four-poster bed is a special treat and the best place to watch the waves...

We stayed here for 1 night having been camping for the previous 2 so were really looking forward to a comfy bed and hot shower. The bed was fine, although it was a very snug double! The shower had bad pressure but not awful. I've got to say the décor doesn't look as though it's been updated for a good 10-20 years but it was very clean and the location was perfect!
I think if you can afford to, you should upgrade to a room with a sea view - the only time I could see the sea was if I sat on the toilet, so not ideal!
The breakfast was nothing to write home about, whilst it was plentiful, the quality wasn't great and having spent over £80 overall I was hoping for more all round.

Room Tip: Go for a room with a sea view!

We knew that there was no parking at the hotel so my wife stayed in the car whilst I unloaded. Reception took my name and gave directions to car parks (two within 300 yards £7/24 hours or 500 yards multi-story at £2/24 hours). We parked in the multi-story and walked back to the hotel. When we went to Reception, the cases had already been taken to our room. The sea view is magnificent with a huge middle sash window and 2 smaller sash windows either side. There is only a small road between you and the sea. Breakfast lovely and plenty of extra tea and toast as requested. We had the Welsh tea in the afternoon which was also very nice. All management and staff very helpful and friendly and restaurants recommendations were spot on. Would we return - most definitely yes!

Room Tip: Room 14 superb sea views, 4 poster bed and jacuzzi bath

In Tenby this weekend for the long course event. Hotel was clean well presented and a warm welcome greeted us. Was able to have breakfast early as husband competing in the marathon and needed to eat earlier than the timed breakfast. Lovely breakfast table avalible with juices fruit and cereal.. And a filling cooked breakfast that filled us for the day. The room was spotless and bed comfy. Would definitely recommend this delightful hotel and we shall return for a longer stay next time! Thanks again. Emma and Lee Mills
