Fantastic location. Short walk into the town shops. The sea views were brilliant. Room 18 was small but providing you had yourself organised, it is big enough. well worth it for the views alone.
The staff are friendly and obliging. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Housekeeping good.
Breakfast had a good selection. Well presented and of good quality. Served from early 07:30 which suited us. Public areas spotless. The car park is an added bonus.
Have stayed at this hotel several times before and it has always been enjoyable.
Ate at Carringtons quite a few times during our stay, including sunday lunch. The food was fantastic. The table d'hote very good value for the quality of food and service excellent. The trifle, according to my husband was the best he had ever tasted.

I would describe the Atlantic as an old-fashioned, traditional 1970/1980s style tourist hotel. It is clean, welcoming, friendly and has a brilliant location (with gated parking), right on the 'front' overlooking Tenby's South Beach. The staff were excellent - very warm and friendly. I graded it 'average' as it is basic. The rooms are not large, do not have a fridge, and my double was downstairs near the small swimming pool - no view (so blinds were drawn permanently over the small window that overlooked a back-door), and uncomfortably warm (I wish I had requested a fan, although one should have really been provided as standard in that room!). There is no gym - although the sea/beach opposite the hotel provides a lovely running/swimming option. The in-house restaurant was a strange experience - not bad, but not particularly good either. Breakfasts were plentiful, convenient, but were very much tourist orientated (plastic boxes filled with cooked bacon, beans etc) - so lacked the personal touch. That said, it is a decent hotel, in a fantastic location, reasonably priced and staffed by lovely people. It is a short walk from central Tenby, so plenty of pubs/restaurants/cafes nearby.

Room Tip: Room sizes appear to vary significantly, and if you have no window, request a fan (Room 11 was too h...

My husband and I visited this hotel for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. It was a lovely stay, very comfortable and the food and service was brilliant. The first morning we went down for breakfast there was an envelope on our table with a wedding anniversay card from all the staff at the hotel, very nice and personal touch. The lounges are comfortable and a nice place to relax after a day walking. Can't wait to go there again. Very close to the beach and town, nice to have a stroll along the beach before evening meal. They have a car park just around the corner from the hotel, which is very convienient and saves the worry of where to park. The leisure facilities are very good too, nice to have a swim and relax by the pool.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back of the hotel, but it was fine. I would think if you ask for sea view they...

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Atlantic Hotel in Tenby. We had a super time and the weather was brilliant.
The hotel is perfectly placed for a 5 min stroll to the centre of Tenby and has a great carpark for residents, which saves you a time consuming search for a parking space which are at a premium. It is first come first served but we didnt see it full during our stay. The parking wardens are red hot too so if you cant get in, beware. There is a road infront of the hotel but it isn't noisy and the parking is for residents or disabled only. Across the road, at the top of the cliff overlooking the beach, is a pretty garden owned by the hotel where you can be served food and drink if you wish.
We stayed in room 18, which has a fantastic sea view and a large window with a delightful padded window seat so you can sit and enjoy the view. The room was small but more than adequate, with ensuite and plenty of storage for clothes. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was buffet style but table service is offered if you wish. There was a very good choice of food and it was lovely and fresh and the cooked selection was piping hot. We didn't try the hotel restaurant Carringtons but the food selection looked good. We saw the indoor pool, but didn't use it.
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at the Atlantic Hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we were in the area.

Room Tip: The sea views are great, so ask for a sea view room.

We stayed at the Atlantic for a Monday to Saturday mid week break. We had room 17 with the balcony and sea view. The hotel, the staff, the food and the leisure facilities were excellent and we would highly recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel is situated right on the sea front and is close to the shops and restaurants in Tenby. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and smiling. Our room was spacious and very clean. It was a lovely relaxing break and we would definately go there again!!

Room Tip: pay extra for a sea view - it is so worth it!

First class hotel, location is excellent for the town very short walk 5min.

Staff were first class helpfull, considerate, pleasant, informative, and all round nice people.
The hotel was very clean and facilities are excellent-pool steam room etc.
Breakfast was buffet style the quality of the food was very good you could ask for things not on the menu and they would try to get it for you, staff in the breakfast room were cheerfull in the morning in spite of some of us grumpy ones who are not morning people.

Book a room at the front if you can as the views are beautiful,we booked to late, we were in room 14 which was at the back, we didn't have the view but the seagull chorus was very entertaining(he he).

Overall it is a very good hotel if you are visiting Tenby, a very picturesque walled town.

We have two little niggles about the room but we will return again in the near future so this is just a suggestion for the managemet.

The television is far to small if you are watching from the bed,i assume it is because of the space on the wall where it is situated.

The seven nights we were there, were very hot and air conditioning would have been great! i appreciate the weather is not normally as hot.

In speaking to the reception the night before we left i found out i could have had a fan if i asked that would have been great, a note in the welcome pack about a fan would be brilliant. Looking forward to returning Tenby in the near future, and will stay at the Atlantic again.

Room Tip: If you want a sea view book a room at the front
