Tenby is a great place and the Albany is in a great location for the town. The hotel although outdated has all the basics needed for a good holiday - clean beds and towels, plenty hot water, decent food and helpful friendly staff. Our only grouch is please Richard replace the sealant around the bath in room 7. On any future visit to Tenby we would only stay at the Albany.

Room Tip: Room 7 is a sunny room with nice views over well kept allotments.

Hi, Many thanks for taking the time in writing your review following your holiday last week. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and pleased that you would be happy to return. Thank you for pointing out the sealant that needs to be redone and as I will do this as soon as possible. Kind Regards Richard (hope you had a good journey home)

We think that had we have been on a National coach party group, then we would have been a lot better off. But as we were independent traveller's we lost out, we were only there for one night a (birthday treat).
There was no evening meals available and no entertainment, apparently this is put on only in the week for the coach company's. If you read previous feedback it is evident, teach me to read these reviews first.
When we arrived we were met by Mark deputy manager, very polite and later he served us in the bar. We met Richard i assume it was he, at breakfast the following morning, all the staff were polite, breakfast was hot and pleasant, The hotel itself was perfectly acceptable.

Room Tip: Refuse room 26, not only was it noisy with people passing the room at 4 am but the mattress was crip...

Hi, Thank you for taking the time in writing your review. With regards to evening meals we do advertise that we do not open the restaurant Friday to Sunday nights and entertainment which ranges from quizes to bingo etc.. is done during the week as part of our contract with our coach company. Please accept my apologies for any noise disturbance and for the mattress not being comfortable (I was not aware of this). Very pleased that you enjoyed the breakfast and the staff and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Kind Regards Richard

We have never been to Tenby before so we booked our holiday with National they are always good value for money, I checked the Albion Hotel on trip advisor before we booked and we were not disappointed We arrived after a long journey to be met by Richard the owner who came onto the bus and introduced himself and told us to leave our cases on the coach and they would be put into our room in the next 10 - 15 minutes, we were quickly checked in and no sooner had we gone to our room than our cases were brought to us, the room was adequate with everything that you need the towels and bedding were very clean and white The dining room was small and friendly we had a table to ourselves but most people shared with other guests , we had per ordered our evening meal on the bus which was a first but it made for a very efficient service we enjoyed every meal especially the bacon at breakfast so tasty. Richard and his family and staff work very hard to make the stay enjoyable they are improving the hotel as they go along with a nice patio at the rear that gets the evening sun. The promenade is only about 5 mins walk from the hotel and it is beautiful and unspoilt well worth a visit I wish Richard and his family all the best for the future you deserve it we would definitely return .

Room Tip: We were in room 24 overlooking the back so it was quite which suited us

My Wife and I have just returned from a week’s break with National Holidays at the Albany Hotel. I must say we both had a very enjoyable stay and whilst the Albany is not a 5 Star, it ticks all the right boxes. The welcome given, food, cleanliness, and staff, who are so helpful, made it a most enjoyable stay. The situation of the Hotel is ideal. It is such a good family and friendly run Hotel.
Will we return? Yes we will.

Tim and Sue.

we went to this hotel on a National holiday 5 day break, the hotel has no lift, so when an elderly person stays there the effort of having to climb the stairs after being out to the beach or anything you wish to do is horrendous, then there is the food,!! the breakfast is not so bad, mainly due to the cold cereals, and segments, though the hot buffet, should be changed to luke-warm buffet, and the evening meal was a disgrace, after 3 meals we decided to eat out and pay the extra, rather than suffer the rock hard chips that a fork could not penetrate, or the bullet type peas,, and the lack of any vegetables, at most of the evening meals, we certainly wont be going back to this hotel

Hi, Thank you for taking the time in leaving this review following your recent stay and it is unfortunate that you could not take the time to discuss these issues with me during your stay when I might have been in a position to rectify these 'issues' for you.
Firstly we do not advertise with |National that we have a lift and you did not request a lower floor which is why you were allocated a 2nd floor room. We have very good feedback regarding our menus which are well balanced and offere a choice of 3 starters, 4 mains and 4 desserts for our coach party guests, however please accept my apologies if they did not meet with your expectations but they are by no means a 'disgrace' and I do ask every table during their main courses if 'everything is ok' and was not made aware of any problems with any meals. Finally with regards to breakfast the food has a core temperature of over 80 degrees which is over and above guidelines and served on hot plates the only thing that I cannot control is the time in which guests take to eat their breakfast. I am sorry that you would not wish to return to The Albany Hotel on a future visit unlike many of our guests (of which there were some on the tour that you were on only last week). On looking at the comments left in our guest book from our tour guests last week it appears that your experience was different to the other guests. Regards Richard

The hotel owners are very polite and helpful. The breakfast is great value and the location couldn't be nearer the North beach. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable if not a little quirky. It's not the Ritz but the price reflects this. We had no complaints and would vist this hotel again for a weekend break without any hesitation. Parking is a short walk but you can drop off your bags in reception and then park up. It's location to the beach and town makes this hotel exceptional value, they even supplied the good weather .
