Stayed here a couple of years ago, and although the actual hotel need an upgrade to the decor the stay was made pleasant by the welcome from the owners. On our return this year we were disappointed to find that the decor in the corridors and hallways was still neglected.
The room was warm enough (January break!) but the bathroom could have been cleaner.
Breakfast - the waiting staff were pleasant and attentive, but the food was very poor. The chef (?) was stood behind a warming trolley - and had no purpose other than to hand over food which was pretty bland and tasteless - the sausage was the worst I have ever had at a hotel, mushy and with a dubious meat content. The hotel appears to be declining and it is unlikely we will return
