Some of the rides were very mediocre and the ghost train needs total modernising or scrap it and put in a decent adult ride in the space. The only decent rollercoaster was the mad mouse the other needed an assistant to push it round to get it going! The majority of the rides are aimed at 5 - 12 year olds, not much for older teens and adults.

“Enjoyable day out with the family!!”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

We visited pleasure land recently and weren't disappointed.

It was our first trip to southport and won't be our last, it's a fantastic place.

It was great that the entry into the park was free however, we did purchase a fun card and spent a fortune on the rides for my two year old son and 8 year old nephew however they had a great time :-)

The staff were very pleasant and helpful which was lovely as it made our visit that bit more special as we have often been greeted with miserable rude staff at other places who clearly hate their job!

There was a good variety of rides, my son loved the motor boat ducks.

Food was good too, it was clean and tidy though the disabled toilet in the family area needs a severe clean as it smells terrible of sewage and wasn't very nice to change my son in!

The play area in the family area was lovely again well kept however I thought it was a little cheeky to charge £3. Per child for what it was.

Overall it was a fantastic place to visit and we will return in the future.

“Out side rides.”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

we visited the 20th of August. I loved the old pleasureland when I was a kid so this is a dissapointment for me. myself, my finace and son 7 years old.
you walk in as it is free, but you need to put £1 down for your fun card that is scanned on each ride for you to ride. 1 to 4 tokens from your fun card for rides . we spent about £25 on the fun card.

thankfully it was a nice day, so we tried most of the rides, we did eat ther. the food is average food. £2 for chips, £5.50 for a burger so a bit pricey for what you eat. ther gift shop was pricy also go out side if you want any southport rock. ther are a few things around pleasureland wich are great. and to be honset ther is a great park over the road wich was fantastic.

the rides are nice and a bit of thrill, some wear more carniville. the staff wear cleaning alot wich was very good to see.
ther weare games like hook a duck, and knock the cans down. Also facepanting and an artist scetcher. £5.
all round was ok, we have been and will probly not go again.

“Great for families with younger kids”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

Just visited Pleasureland with my 2 boys (2 and 5 years old). This is a great attraction to keep them both amused for a few hours. Good range of rides for very young to older children. Not too much for teenage and upwards but still worth a look. The rides can be slightly expensive but there is no admission charge so you only pay for what you you decide to go on. Loads of cheap parking right next to the park too. This is a perfect alternative to the over-priced, in your face, Blackpool experience and definitely more fun for families with younger kids.

“Good Family Day Out”
Reviewed 20 August 2014 via mobile

It is certainly not Alton Towers but is a good clean family funfair with a whole range of moderate rides for all ages.We enjoyed the park and coupled it up with a browse in the shops on Lord Street before catching the fun train back to the funfair to finish off .We had a lovely traditional day out by the seaside !
