My Sister booked the hotel for a family 70th Birthday for 14 people.

The hotel has a underground car park first come first served it says, no problem with that at three pounds a night payable on the bill its fine.

We had a table booked for the 14, meal was great, I had a nicly done steak having chosen from the two diffeerent menus.

The Room we had was on floor 2, couple f things we noticed, the aircon onky works if you have both a card in the power slot and the window is closed.

The room was what you would expect from a new modern hotel, nice double "double" although its says something about the size of the room that one of them needs to be right upagainst the bathroom wall for it to all fit in, which is a real shame.

Oh and dont expect to get the lift to arrive anytime soon, the place has two small extreamly slow lifts to service 8 floors (including basement carpartk which is only accessable from one of them) we ended up walking up and down the stairs, rather than wait, but for my mum and grandma it was frustrating waiting so long.

The hotel apparently does a big weekend trade in Weddings and functions, and naturaly they allow a disco/nightclub to operate, unfortunatly the designers didnt build the hotel with this in mind, and the noise in bedrooms was just so loud, I thought oh it will finish at 11.. no 11:30 no.... I complained and they said oh no the party goes on till 12:30am...... so non of the famly got any sleep until 1am, which meant we had grumpy kids for breakfast and the rest of the day.

Breakfast is an expensive affair at a tenner a head but as kids go free, you can look at it as a fiver each and it works out better, but still on the expensive side.

I did complain about the noise and the duty manager did come and talk to myself, she was very kind and good, but the hotel should really tell weddings that 11:30 is the latest they can have a disco on until.

all in all it hasnt put me off Southport, but the hotel should at least tell people a wedding is on and you will be effected by noise.

Many thanks for taking the time to review the hotel here on Tripadvisor, I am delighted that you found many aspects of your stay to your liking and that the party enjoyed their dining experience in the Marine Brasserie.

I am sorry that on this occasion you were disturbed by some noise from the event taking place in the hotel, we do have events most weekends and tend to manage this by the allocation of rooms, and on this occasion we appear to have made an error in judgement on this and I will certainly be speaking to the team in this regard.

I am delighted that your experience has not deterred you from returning to Southport and I hope to welcome you and your family back in the near future.

Kind regards

We only stayed the one night as we were in Southport for a family occasions, the Ramada is great value, the staff so helpful, if there is anything that lets it down is having to pay to park your car at the hotel during your stay. I thoroughly recommend the Ramada.

We visited for a Saturday night stay booking two double rooms. Hotel is quite new and in a lovely location, our room was horrendously hot on arrival as air con had not been set and took a good hour to cool down, the view from our window was one of a large grey flat roof, not a good start...
I decided as the room was so hot to sit in the lounge . While getting a drink at the bar heard a couple of the bar staff make a rude comment about another guest. Not good! Whilst I am sitting enjoying the fa cup final, barman took it upon himself to change the channel to another match. Time to complain!
Next morning down for breakfast. Food was absolutely excellent, service was not. I don't want want silver service but "cheers mate" from the waiter is not four star treatment. Very disappointed.

Many thanks for taking the time to review the hotel here on Tripadvisor, I am sorry that the glorious weather on the hottest day of the year made your room a little hot on arrival, as an energy efficient business our air-conditioning is linked to room occupancy and only once a card is placed within the holder will the electrics for the room activate and switch the air con on, this is common practice within the industry and it does not take long to begin to take effect.

It goes without saying that some rooms will have a better view than others although I do not feel your pictures does us justice, had the staff been aware that you wished to spend the majority of time in your room on the best day of the year then they may have been able to allocated a room nearer the lake end of the building.

The staff are our most frequently praised asset and I am sorry that on this occasion some team members have not maintained the high standards which we have set ourselves, I will remind the relevant departments of our need to ensure that these are maintained at all times.

I am delighted to note your enjoyment of Southport on the whole including the pier and Roberto's and hope that you get the opportunity to return to Southport in the very near future.

Yours sincerely

Just got back from having lunch on the terrace.Have been before so knew to park in underground carpark. Lovely sunny spot overlooking the marine lake. Sandwiches and chips were delicious, best chips EVER. Staff were really pleasant and helpful and the bill reflected the quality of food and service received. Will definitely be back soon.

Over all the hotel is beautiful with excellent service in the restaurant both at the time of morning as well as evening, the only regret i found in the hotel was to wait to get myself check in with my partner as there was a long queue with less staff at the front desk.Room was clean and the linen was excellent quality.

I grew up not far from Southport and so when I spotted a short break on one of the deal sites I thought I would treat my partner to a weekend break.

I just could not fault this hotel. The location is spot on. The staff were just genuine and lovely to all the guests and visitor's.

Food was first class. Value for money. Drinks prices very reasonable in comparison to some hotel's.

I have stayed at a number of the Ramada hotel's round the north of the country in the last two years and this one stands out.

It had been 4 years since I last visited Southport and would say it feels like it is starting to come back to its best. The old haunts still represent a good crack so if you fancy a night out nip down to Lord Street and start off in the Scarisbrick. Caters for all ages and even at the grand age of 42 I enjoyed a good night in there.

Tip . If you are owt like me and dont travel light pull in to the lay by at front of the hotel to drop your luggage off and suss out the underground car park at the back of the hotel.
