Six of us went recently for a Saturday evening meal at Marc Verite's new restaurant in Birkdale Village and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was efficient, whilst also being personable and friendly. Mostly we couldn't criticise the food, which was well-priced, although one of our party felt her fish was over-cooked. The menus consist of mini chalk boards, which serve to emphasise the freshness of the produce chosen for service that day. The Chateaubriand for two was gorgeous! We will certainly be going again. Book early, as we left it until 1 month before and only had 6.30 or 9.30 to choose from.
