Having been walking past for several years we finally ventured in. The venue is nicer inside than appears outside. The menu when looking from outside can appear quite overwhelming with daily specials, lunch specials, early evening specials and a la carte. Don't let this put you off. We had an oyster starter which was divine followed by the sea food platter to share. The platter comprised mussels in a creamy sauce (superb) and deep fried fish, scampi and prawns. Prawns were deveined and juicy. Fish was nice (my batter was a little greasy) and scampi did not really add to the dish. There's loads of fish in a cold counter on display as you walk in and many would have been a better choice than the scampi. The tartare sauce served was okay but not the best I've had. We had a very nice chardonnay to wash it all down. I would probably scored a bit higher if I'd made another choice from the menu. Given the venue serves so much fish, it would have been nice to see a ' fruits de mere' on the menu. Price for the two of us was a reasonable 40 pounds.
