“For the Price Amazing”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Had a stay over Monday Night and cant say enough about how friendly the place is. Its ideally situated and I upgraded the room to a front facing which was great. when you consider what we paid it was great value for money with free parking too. The reception staff were really friendly and helpfull and could not do enought for us. The only problem we encountered was the fact that the heating system in the room was on and it was an unsually hot weekend so room got a little hot and you could not turn it off. If you are looking for a reasonably prices hotel near to all the ammenities and the town centre look no further we will definately be back. thank you all the staff.

Room Tip: I didnt see the standard room that I had booked but upgraded for only £10 to a front superior and it...

There were 7 of us staying over the Easter weekend with 3 Rooms. The location of the hotel is near everything but unfortunately it is the cleanliness and state of the hotel which lets you down, walking into our room there is a hole in the door(of a fist size ) broken bit at the bottom of the door, next to the bed the carpet had a hole, the walls had marks and stains , our window netting had holes and no lock on a flimsy window. We staying bed & breakfast the first morning having breakfast toast was served to our table from picking a piece up it was covered in green mould which we notified a member of staff , after this and the fact the apple juice & orange tastes 90% watered down we no longer had breakfast at the hotel as it put us of. The swimming pool is clean and brilliant space although once a again a fault two people we did not no opened the emergency door as the bleach/chlorine was so strong it was burning our eyes. People were warning everyone not to go into the jacuzzi. The bar staff ( young man) had really good banter who worked on the sat night. If the rooms where up to scratch I would stay again because the location is perfect but unfortunatly I will be warning people not to go here as you will be let down.

Overall, for £140 for two nights (no breakfast) it was very pleasant. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had a nice swim in the mornings. A negative issue was that room 152 where we stayed is at the bottom of a lightwell - limited natural light, could hear the water pass down the drainpipes after everyother rooms toilet trip and the small window at the top could not be closed (would be nice to be able to close the window). But, that said, the room was clean, hotel was close to everything and we had a cracking royal tea in the lounge.

The worst hotel we have stayed in !
Storms were ripping slates off the roof but we were not warned about our car being in danger.
Rattling windows meant 2hours sleep
Cob webs on window
Before booking I phoned to ask if they had gluten free bread or I could take some, but was told no problem, so we booked. When checking in I asked the receptionist if they had gluten free bread for breakfast and was told they had bread.
Arriving at breakfast I asked the waiter for gluten free toast but was told they don't have any but will get some for the next day. Why don't they communicate

Excellent hotel with very good staff in all areas. The Reception staff are excellent and always make you feel welcome, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is in en excellent location with good parking facilities. We have stayed there numerous times and have always enjoyed our stay.
