We attended a wedding at the scarisbrick hotel at weekend. The food was excellent the service was 2nd to none and our room was beautiful. We were looked after from start to finish by a dedicated team. We would highly recommend this venue.

lovely hotel, food was superb we will be going back to this hotel, rooms were lovely clean welcomeing and warm, my friends have been going to this hotel for years, it central to everything and its certainly very busy, lovely staff too very helpful we did go to a late pub near by and it was very expensive, i think it was called humbug, £14 for 2 vodka and cokes diabolical, needless to say we only had the one drink there, we will be staying in this hotel again maybe when the weather is a bit better, but regardless we did have a good time, a very happy customer

We stayed there for 4 nights, the breakfasts were marvellous and the evening carvery were splendid each evening, the staff were very attentive and worked very hard, i cannnot believe why some reviews give a poor one. we have just come back and it was excellent, slept well in the comfy beds.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 131 and it was very quiet, a touch of luxury indeed

Having visited this Hotel many times, after our last visit we said we would visit one more time to see if the "Coach Hotel" effect had reduced standards too far. Booked via Head Office for three nights and paid extra for Executive room and for early check in. Disappointed on arrival to find that our early arrival request had been overlooked and we had to wait whilst room was cleaned. Only Hotel we have ever been too that does NOT provide a morning paper service-you are advised of nearest paper shop!. Executive room was very tired-renovation had obviously not reached this one, and cleanliness was only average. Food which was always the highlight of the hotel has become basic, repeated and very boring, especially breakfast. Bacon either over or under cooked, eggs burnt, toast cold and hard. Tea served by waitress via flask-if you are lucky enough to catch someones eye. At evening meal the coach party guests were treated to a free glass of wine-but not other guests. This is now a coach party hotel and regular guests are made to feel inferior. Even allowing for reasonable prices this is not a hotel to visit other that as a coach party member. After fifteen years we have made our last visit!

An old childhood memory lured us to this hotel, despite some unfavorable reviews. It was once one of the best hotels in Southport but is now rather tired & in good need of an overhaul & some serious cleaning (bathroom heater surround was so covered in dust it looked black). Also, the parking is hit & miss & their offer of a space in sister hotel at additional cost backfired as I asked them to check if a space was available before we made an additional journey. Guess what - no spaces. Really great after a 3 mile trip. There is also an additional cost to pay by card - not a lot so don`t know they they bother, it just creates angst (or be up front on the original booking).
Despite that - room was warm & adequate. Breakfast was good & the restaurant was buzzing but well ran (make sure you stock up on drinks as you may have a long wait for a refill). At just over £50 for 2 including breakfast, we felt we had a reasonable deal (hotel is in excellent central location). Cheaper than a motel & all staff were generally friendly & eager to please.

Room Tip: The higher the better - avoid restaurant side as generator is noisy once breakfast is being prepared...

staff could not care less kept awake till 4 o clock with music from night club below said they had no record of me booking even though i specifically rang up again to check that we were not getting a room on the side street as we had been put there on a previous visit and did not get a wink of sleep the evening meal was disgusting a supposedly carvery with a waitress scraping the dirty plates in a black plastic bag at the side of us nice left after one night checked into premier inn wonderful

Room Tip: Don't go... keep your money.
