We stayed here with National holidays, would not be my choice. We were in room 110 which was facing a night club as you can imagine once the music started things went down hill, we could not here the TV. We complained to reception but we're told there were no other rooms and that the hotel had complained to the council but were told the club could do what they wanted. Music stopped at 3am which is when we were able to get to sleep. The room was tired and decor either missing or ripped. Wires on lamps above dressing table were bare. On in all a horrible stay.

The entrance to the hotel had at least one drunk person sprawled out on the floor every time we left or entered. You can tell this was once a grand hotel but desperately needs updating. The only good point was the room, which did need updating but it was huge with everything you could wish for or need. Iron, trouser press, hairdryer, tea coffee facilities. We were also unable to leave our suitcase at the hotel. They were not interested in trying to help. We travelled on the train so therefore had to leave at 10 am because we could not drag our cases around with us. I would not use this hotel again!

Great hotel, situated in the centre of Southport. Good food and friendly staff. Room a little small but comfortable. Car parking is very limited
Stayed for 3 nights, enjoyable throughout. Very good bus services outside hotel to visit surrounding area, suggest a visit to Liverpool Very Good.

After reading the reviews I was tempted to cancel our night at the Scarisbrick Hotel but when Formby Hall wanted £220 for a room at the wedding venue we attended we decided to risk the Scarisbrick and for £35 I'm really happy. Staff we're friendly and accommodated our request for a quiet room. We got Rm 224 and although yes if was all a bit tired it was fine. Breakfast was lovely really fresh and loads of choice.

Having just got back from an Easter break at this southport hotel I felt I had to put into writing my complaints! Firstly reception area very dirty and shabby, no car parking facilities so had to pay for parking and walk a distance back to the hotel with our luggage. Room is in need of. Refurbishment. Mold around the bath, towel rail rusty, broken handles on window, no welcome information regarding facilities at hotel, meal times location etc. tv remote was not the correct one for the tv, no trouser press or iron, tv bracket was in such a place that you had to watch it infront of the wardrobe so restricting viewing of the tv if you wanted to use the wardrobe. We were not informed that there was a nightclub outside our window so had to endure music till 4 in the morning . Breakfast was the worst I have ever endured at a hotel, cheap sausages, cold toast, dried up bacon, over cooked eggs and the worst tea and coffee that I have had the misfortune of tasting. All in all a very disappointing visit.
