After a long day we stumbled onto this place and decided to give it a try as we were starving and didn't want to walk any further. After entering we were seated and given 2 battered crumpled menus. The whole place is a little along the same lines, wobbly table, cracked toilet seat etc. To be honest I felt like leaving as I wasn't confident that the food would be up to much. We stayed though, and ordered a cheap bottle of Rioja and a few tapas. It did take a little while to arrive and we thought they could have maybe brought the olives first, but we were really happy when everything turned up. The alioli was excellent, the calamari tender, and the sardines (albeit tinned) were smothered in a tasty béchamel and grilled on crusty bread. The wine was pretty decent too. The kitchen is open and I didn't hear a microwave ping once which is reassuring. I finished off with a really nice tequila too. All in all I thought it was excellent value, cheap ingredients maybe, but it wasn't expensive and they really got the best out of them.
