We visited this lovely restaurant upon recommendation from a member of staff at the hotel where we were staying in Southport.

We chose from the early bird menu (£9.95 Mon-Thurs 5.30-7.30) and thought that it was very good value. The popadoms, starters, mains and sundries were all beautiful and the portion sizes were excellent. Service was very good, polite and professional. We also loved the complimentary Baileys and chocolate mints!

We look forward to our next visit to Southport, even if it is just to return to Shamraat for another excellent curry! Highly Recommended!

We all shared a family meal on a Saturday night at The Shamraat. Poppadums to start with chutney and onions.... excellent. followed by 4 main courses including my usual a Tandoori mixed grill this time with the Naaga chilli sauce!
All were excellent, the service and politeness of staff equally great as was the large cold |Cobra lagers!
To finish we had mango Culfi, which you need to try if you never have.
All in all a highly reccommended restaurant with excellent staff.
See you soon Martyn Barbs and family

To be honest, didn't really expect much from this unassuming Indian restaurant tucked down a side street. I was pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent and the staff attentive. We paid just under £25 for two of us and, whilst we shared the Chicken Tikka Masala Balti with a side of Sag Paneer, this was more than plenty. The peshwari naan was perhaps once of the best I have tasted! Definitely worth a visit!
