Southport boasts of it's many great golf courses, but the real truth is that most of the courses are SO EXPENSIVE you need to save for months to play there... and for your average player it just isn't going to happen.
However this little golf course ( it's only nine holes played from different tee placing for 18 holes) is in the price range of most people £26-£32..
It's a bit narrow at one end, where the fairway is almost shared for two holes but there are some interesting holes that make up for this. The fairways were in great condition, the grass being on peat rather than typical Southport sand. Greens were in good shape as well.
A nice little course, marked down only because of the nine holes.
