Stayed here for one night. Hotel is ideally situated - lots of parking spaces. Quick check-in on arrival. Brewers Fayre pub next to hotel - quick cut-through without having to go outside. Lots of famous chain restaurants in the vicinity. Lord St & more bars, shops & restaurants 10 mins walk away. Very clean ,comfortable room ,overlooking Marine lake, which was very quiet - had an undisturbed sleep. Would recommend this place and will definitely be returning for another overnight stay. The room was on the top floor at the rear of hotel - think that this is maybe quieter than a front facing /beach view room.

our family always stay here when we go to southport, the main reason is that u know what your going to get, 100% clean and modern rooms. You dont get that in a B&B.

hi,
Just to let you know b4 we begin, we think this is one of the best standard premier inn's we have visited in a long while.
We recently stayed in this premier inn 22/1/2011 for a birthday, and upon arrival we received free parking, lots of spaces, and noticed that there was a frankie and benny's, fitness centre, nando's, chiquitos, a chinese and vue cinema opposite on the site, handy if you were looking to eat out.
We arrived at 12.45pm. We decided to have a quick coffee in the bar area and then check out southport town centre. We ordered a hot chocolate, fruit shoot, coffee and espresso. The fruit shoot was first to arrive, and we were waiting twenty minutes to receive out coffees. By this time, there was a queue of about 6 people, so we just decided to ask. Only one/two people manning the bar!!! The came in another five minutes, so then we were able to go to the local shops. To get to these, it is about 15 minute walk over the bridge and round, and there were so many shops you would need a week to go in them all, including internationale, PRIMARK!!, DEBENHAMS, BHS, and HMV.
When we checked in, the room was of a good size, cleanliness was spotless and there were no drawers, so therefore you cannot leave anything behind (just shelves,) and the beds were comfortable, providing a childs bed was a sofabed. We had a good sleep. We didn't eat in the hotel. We went in the hotel bar after, which was quite cozy!We also caught a glimse of a bride and groom.
PLENTY OF EATING PLACES, SHOPS, AND GREAT HOTEL!!!
All in all this is a great stay, we have been looking to get in it since it opened as it is only about 2 years old, we are looking forward to returning.

Booked in for a 2 night stay, as usual cheery staff and easy check-in. Room and bathroom spotless, plenty of extra coffe when requested for the coffeeholic in my life. Very well placed for a walk into town, even for those of us less fit than we should be, it was only a very pleasant 10 minute stroll. Southport has an excellent range of shops and you can spend a good few hours just browsing. The Hotel itself is very well placed for eating out with a good Brewers Fayre adjacent, with a communicating door from the foyer so you do not have to go outside, and a good range of popular eateries 2 minutes away. The first nights sleep was excellent, but the second night was disturbed by other patrons who seemed to be in 2 rooms, going in and out of each others room and letting the doors slam shut, we were also woken by somebody singing in the hallway at about 1.30 - we mentioned it next morning when we were checking out but as we did not report it to reception when we were disturbed we did not get (or expect) a refund. The reason we did not report it was a) no phone in room and b) the corridor outside our room was freezing as the fire door at the end which led to the stairwell was left open and as the weather was very frosty and icy that stretch of the corridor was bitterly cold. We had mentioned this to a member of staff on the first day when she saw us closing it, but when we came back it was open and remained open. So faced with the choice of a warm bed or cold corridor we stayed in bed. You would think that it would be possible to make a soft close hotel room door, we have soft close drawers, cupboards and toilets, so come on Premier be the first - design a hotel door that does not bang and keep waking your patrons up.

Do not search any further for a hotel in Southport. this is the one, first class service, thank you Janet on reception you made our stay.We travelled with family including small children, the hotel was perfect for them and we allways felt they were safe, good family rooms with proper beds for the kids, the staff allways put us all together, and nothing was too much trouble for them, wether it be rooms or eating in the restuarant, the food was excellent and very good value. Its a little bit out of the way from town but a nice gentle walk, with lots to do around the hotel, swimming, eateries, bowling, beach, miniature railway, in fact we could have stayed in and around the hotel the whole stay.
Well done Premier we will certainly stay here again.

The Womens British Open Golf Tournament was held at Royal Birkdale this year and we booked into the Premier Inn Southport (Central) for two nights because of its close proximity to the golf course. This was our first stay at a Premier Inn but it will certainly not be our last.

On arriveal the staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped with TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and a supply of toiletries in the bathroom.

The adjoining bar was cosy and well apointed, and the restaurant was large but not impersonal. The choice and quality of food was good and once again the restaurant staff were very helpful and well trained.

Having enjoyed our visit so much we have already booked a three night stay at the Premier Inn Dundee (Monifieth) for the Womens British Open 2011 which is to be held at Carnoustie.

We are already looking forward to our stay in Scotland !!
