“Disgraceful”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

Food not good here as my husband and four others in our group were ill, plus and unpleasant blond girl didn't like so many of us sitting by the kitchen door, well don't put a big table by that door then!! She did nothing but sigh after, I almost got up and asked for the manager, but thought better of it as I didn't want to spoil everyone's weekend, but the bad cooking shore did that for us, My husband was ill all night so thanks for that!!! Plus we had a chef with us and even she said it was a poor standard..... The plates are so hot my sister sustained a burnt finger and was given ice but not one person came to check she was ok, she has now got a blister. I will never got into a Wetherspoon's ever again load of rubbish, shame as all of the staff hard are working! Well except Miss moody! AND Miss I don't care I just burnt your finger!!! The rest of the staff we encountered were polite and well mannered.

“Pre Show Meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

Gopod food choice. Excellent value. Exceptional service from friendly staff. We were on route to the Atkinson to see a show and had a couple of hours to have food and drink. Would use here again.

“Great tasty Easter Sunday breakfast for the family”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

We enjoyed a tasty breakfast at this Wetherspoon's during our recent stay in Southport. Great breakfast menu offering tremondous value for money. Prompt and attentive service from the staff. Loved the unlimited coffee refills! Food was well cooked, but not piping hot as we might have expected. Good quality egg, bacon, & sausage. We liked the dedicated family area, which was situated to the front of the pub. On our visit it was very bright and sunny through the big windows to the front. Lovely. Will visit again!

“Typical Wetherspoons - Good value”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 March 2014 via mobile

You know what you are going to get. Good value meals and breakfast served from 8 am. Nothing fancy however a breakfast with a drink for less than £5 cannot be bad. Lunchtime I would recommend the steak pudding chips and peas with a gravy that compares with anywhere. This Wetherspoons is at bottom of Lord Street near B& M Bargains with plenty of parking nearby.

“Pitch Black!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

We went on curry night (Thursday) and as we started reading the menu, we realized that we couldn't see it properly because of the lighting. It was so dark we had to move to a different table which was under a light. After that, we ordered our food. 2 people got mix grill, 1 person got tikka massala and the other person got chicken korma, when the food came, the tikka massalla was cold. It wasn't stone cold but it wasn't hot. The other meals were up to standards though. The service was great and the staff were really nice.
