“Excellent Bed and Breakfast”
Reviewed 29 August 2014

We stayed over August bank holiday Fri-Mon, on arriving Leigh and cleo couldn,t do enough for you very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spotless and surely no one can find fault or find something they want isn,t there... milk in fridge wine beers and cans of pop, sweets in tray along with teas and coffees. dressing gowns slippers ironing board iron... can go on.... The breakfast is extra special look for the dots round the plate.... all cooked lovely and plenty. Position of this guest house just off sea front near to littlest pub in britain worth a visit... Also out of end of road turn left 5 mins to Lord street. Can Highly reccomend this place and Southport, first time visit not be the last, the good weather helped as well.

Room Tip: dont think they,ll be a bad room....

Stayed here in July whilst watching the Ladies
Open at Birkdale. Lovely couple own this b&b. We were in room 3 which is at the back of the hotel, but not a problem, you are only in there to sleep! Parking outside no problem. Within walking distance of the town and sea front. Only problem was we had to order breakfast the night before ..... Who knows at 5pm what they would like for breakfast the following morning ?! Would recommend this b&b to others.

I stay here every time I come to Southport and every time it gets better and better. Leigh and Cleo are the most welcoming of hosts and go out of their way to make me feel welcome. I enjoy staying in room 1 as it has a lovely roll top bath and the bed is nice and comfortable. I also enjoy the delight of Smarties and chocolate bars being left in my room and fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee. After a great night's sleep I wake up to a nice breakfast of beans on toast followed by a crossiant. Cleo even cooked me breakfast at 2 pm one day after I had overslept so that was really great of her. I cannot thank the hosts enough for making my stay so welcoming and comfortable. They do put a lot of very hard work into running the place and it really shows. Nothing is too much trouble and I will have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful guest house to everyone. Service with a smile and I will be back without a doubt!

Having read quite a few reviews on this B&B my wife an I decided to spend Friday to Sunday 25th - 27th July 2014 here, we were not disappointed,we could not fault anything at all Breakfast was fantastic to say the least, cooked to perfection. Nothing was to much trouble for Cleo & Leigh, they could not do enough to help in any way they both could to make our stay a memorable one. As others have said in their reviews so many little extras and little touches make all the difference to your stay here.what else can I say what others have not said before,if you stay here then you will definatley return ....we both will

My husband and I had the misfortune of only spending one night at this wonderful guest house, following our daughter's graduation ceremony from Edgehill. Extremely comfortable and clean, quiet yet within easy walking distance of the sea and the main street, with lovely breakfast provided. Leigh and Cleo have thought of small details to make their guests feel welcome, and are warm and friendly without being intrusive. And all at a very reasonable price.

What a lovely B&B! Cleo is an absolute delight, the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, with all the usual things plus extras like fresh milk in the fridge and fresh coffee. It is in a great location, being very quiet giving a great night's sleep, yet it is in very easy walking distance of the pier and of Lord Street. The breakfasts are expertly cooked by Leigh and the choice is wonderful! There is a selection of fresh fruits and cereals followed by a cooked breakfast of your choice, made especially for you! There is limited off street parking but parking is free and available on the street, so it's not a problem. I have already recommended the Bay Tree House to friends who live in Southport and look for accommodation for guests and we will certainly return when we visit Southport again.
