Our second visit and must say how we enjoyed it. Reception staff are the best I have known in any hotel I have stayed in. (No miseries here).
Room was great yet again. We had Champagne afternoon tea and cocktails in the bar both super. Just wonderful.

Firstly, having arrived very late on a Friday evening I was delighted to find very friendly and helpful staff on duty for check-in, so the first impressions were very good. The room itself was spotless on arrival with everything I expected of it, although the sliding screen instead of curtains did not stop a lot of external noises from filtering in. Again, having arrived late I was pleasantly pleased with the promptness and standard from room service.

Onto breakfast and this was incredibly disappointing on both occasions, to be fair it was only one step up from canteen food. I don't want to have a buffet breakfast, where items are constantly "topped up" without taking the old items away, Saturday morning was not busy yet there must have been enough for a coach load, work on quality not quantity (and ditch the spicy beans). Similarly, especially on the Sunday, with 4 staff on duty they could not have been less attentive if they had of tried, this really let the hotel down as instead of eating in on Saturday we did not feel confident enough to eat in the restaurant. The bar staff again seemed strangely disjointed and un-engaging, although the lunch snack was tasty and fresh. They seemed to be more interested in conversation amongst themselves, texting on their phones or just not with it.

House keeping standards were also excellent, the room was immaculate each morning, although the tea/coffee was not topped up all weekend.

All in all the hotel offers excellent value, the room was more than acceptable and the receptionists very helpful for booking in and departure. One small point, if you offer a valet service, as no parking available, let the customer know - it's an excellent service just charge more for the room to cover it.

All in all very nearly excellent.

Have been visiting the Vincent for four years now, at least twice or three times a year purely for business reasons and in all that time I can safely say I've never been disappointed in the service or the quality of the catering. Right now, I think the nespresso machines could use a refresh and one of the outdoor heaters by the front door needs a new bulb, but really those are the only points for attention I can find.

The staff are always friendly, always helpful and there 24x7.
The beds are comfy and come with a range of pillows so you can find one to suit,
The breakfast is top notch - as are the meals available in the restaurant.
The shower/ bath is great.
..and for those that don't know the hotel, the decor and fit out is very boutique....and wont dissapoint.

If you need to be in this region of the world, I cant think of a better place to stay, whether for business, romatic weekend or pleasure in general. Bit of an adult hotel however, so I wouldnt recommend it for families with young children, as the accomodation is definitely geared towards adults rather than families.

Room Tip: Corner Suites are nicer, but there's not much in it.

Didn't stay over at the hotel on this occasion but had a lovely lunch in the restaurant and followed by the BEST massage EVER! I have suffered with lower back pain on and off for a number of years and have visited physio's on occasion. Within 10 minutes of my massage the therapist had identified the problem and completely tailored my massage to ease the pain and tension. I will definately be returning. Thank you.

Me and my wife spent our wedding night at the Vincent in September 2011. We hadn't told the staff it was our wedding night (we got married close by) but our room was lovely. The room was lovely, gorgeous, clean with ever so comfy huge bed. The room was a great size not small, lovely facilities. We had an amazing night!! and the breakfast in the morning was really, really good!! Whatever you can think of, it was there!! I could have stayed all day but the wife had other plans. We shall be returning soon as possible, when babysitter is booked!! Thankyou for a memorable night!!

Called into the bar for an afternoon drink or two. Having been before, we knew the bar was cosy with a very fine ambience.
We have never before had such an unfriendly, solemn and almost mute person serve us in a bar of any kind!!!
We were totally ignored on entry, then had to go to the bar to order our drinks. The young lady grunted, poured drinks and "plonked " them on the bar - no coaster or serviette provided. She then disappeared for a VERY long time. As we were the only customers in the bar, we could have helped ourselves and drank the bar dry before she returned. We ordered a repeat round and had the identical response from her. We were not acknowledged as we left either.

She was a pretty young lady who seemed very familiar to the bar, but I suggest to the management that she needs either confronting or taking out of face-to-face customer service. It has made us think about whether we shall return.

Hi.
Spent New year here. Impressed. The hotel rooms were spacious (floor2), clean and comfy and modern without being overly gadgety and quirky. The food was as is usual here, very very good and the Staff, from Andy the very impressive Restaurant Manageress and her smiling and helpful staff, through to the Receptionists and Housekeeping , all willing to make your stay a relaxing and happy one. The powers that be certainly know how to make a Festive Evening and as a result the whole place "buzzed". We normal go for a meal when in the area(frequently) and throughout the year we have been looked after very well but staying is just as good.Hey, and its been like this for a number of years.

Room Tip: Choose front of hotel overlooking Lord Street. It's not that pricey when you look at others and c...
