“Like Pizza Express everywhere, but a new branch”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

The restaurant formerly known as Ask on Lord Street. The food was fine, but the service was a little disconbobulated - we were never quite sure who was looking after us, even though it wasn't busy. They only recently re-opened as a Pizza Express and I am sure they will have it all worked out before long.

“Decent Pizza Express”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

Went here for the first time with family, I thought the building was quite nice and airy with full size windows on both sides. It was on a Sunday afternnon when we went so it was fairly quiet. The food was good and the service was decent. I used Tesco vouchers to pay for some of the meal it could have been quite expensive otherwise.

“Very upset this restaurant is now closed?”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

Over the years we have often eaten at this restaurant when visiting my family in Southport. Seven of us ate there on Saturday 24th May. Unknown to us at the time, it was to be our final meal there. For us, the attraction to this restaurant every time is the great food, good service & intimate atmosphere. The view through the large windows onto a lovely area of Lord Street is also a winner. At the end of our meal my 10 year old son went to thank the chef. The chef explained that the restaurant was to close the next day. We were informed that it was to move to another larger central venue in Southport. How disappointed we were, we could not believe it. We were glad we made a final visit before it closed. Unfortunately, we will not be as regular to visit the
new one.

“Excellent Pizza”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

Four of us visited a Pizza Express on our trip to the UK and were pleased to find one in Southport.

Not quite as glamorous as some we have been to but the food was exactly the same as the others. We had 3 pizzas and a salad. All pizzas were different and very well made. Salad was also excellent.

Vouchers are available online for pizza express and we took advantage of a 25% discount which reduced our £60 bill to 45 quid. Good value for 4 people.

Well worth a visit if you have a voucher to hand. A least you know the food will be of a good standard.

“Friendly staff and a great pizza.”
Reviewed 31 March 2014

We where in Southport and decided we had a pizza for a long while so we decided on going to Pizza Express. A friendly welcome, drinks ordered promptly and the order taken. I chose a pasta dish whilst my husband ordered a pizza both where cooked to perfection. Will definately not leave it so long before we go again.
