I actually stayed at the Shepiston when I arrived in London and when I departed, ten days later, and I can tell you the location and the price are super! We arrived late and were greeted by the most wonderful English gentleman, Roy, who was extremely helpful to us and oh so nice! The room is basic but it is very clean and has a great shower.....one of my benchmarks! Breakfast is included, your basic cereal, toast, fruit, hot and cold drinks...but you can opt to pay extra for a full English breakfast. The location is extremely handy to Heathrow and if you aren't encumbered by too much stuff to haul (we were but did this anyway) the hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the train station. The Shepiston could use a bit of updating (really just the carpeting) but it has so many other perks that you can overlook that. I would highly recommend this lodge as a good budget place to stay in a very convenient location.....and let's not forget the uber nice Roy, and Pat who we emailed a zillion times before we got there and she promptly, and patiently, answered all of our queries. Thanks Shepiston Lodge!

Room Tip: If you have lots of STUFF.....request a room on the first floor.

Stayed here on a recent trip to the UK - really just in and out of London because we spent the majority of the time in Scotland. We arrived at 11pm and were greeted by Roy, the night concierge, who is as pleasant and accommodating as they come. Our room was on the first floor which was great because our bags were super heavy. The room was small and completely no-frills - two beds, private bathroom with shower and toilet, very basic, but very clean. The carpet in the hotel definitely needs to be replaced but other than that everything was great. Basic but filling breakfast included - cereal, toast, hot drinks, juice, plus if you want the full English "fry-up" you can get that for a small extra price. We stayed here on our way out too and were again greeted by Roy who remembered us from before and was so so nice. - it's about a 5 pound cab ride to the Harlington/Hayes rail station, or a 10 minute walk, and from there you can catch the train to Paddington or Euston and be in downtown London in about 30 minutes, depending on time of day. What's great is that Harlington Hayes is just within the zone to be included with a day transportation pass, so you don't have to pay extra to get out there.
A nice small touch but helpful - we were offered use of an adapter for the outlet for the night so we wouldn't have to dig ours out.
I'd stay here again if I were just passing through and needed a place that was convenient to LHR - it's just a 15 pound taxi ride away.

Room Tip: ground floor if you have heavy bags, no lift!

Helpful hosts, good quality for budget accommodation. Breakfast basic but adequate, room small but clean and room comfortable, shower hot with plentiful water.
Inconvenient to get to from heathrow with luggage, needing taxi, but well situated both for train to Central London and to regional stations.

My Sister an me stayed for 2 nights to visit London. We came by car. For cardrivers the location is excellent. Easy to find no big citytraffic and a secured back carpark. The rooms were nice and clean. The price includes a free and good continental breakfast. The staff and the owners were warmhearted and helpful. It was an easy going by train and tube to London Attractions.
Perfect. I would come back

The staff are wonderful, the price is amazing and the accommodation can easily be reached by catching the 140 bus from Heathrow. Definitely a good budget option for a short London stay. The walls are a bit thin though - you can sometimes hear others using their bathroom! But for this price it is hardly a problem.

Average room, this advertised as a B&B really it's just a room with the option of a cold breakfast, a full English is extra. We used it for the army navy but it's 30 pounds in a taxi to get to twickenham.
It's a nice place made welcome and it's clean. A nice pub across the road which dies nice Indian food if I was staying local I'd stay again

Close to Heathrow airport. Tip - Catch the local bus (route 140), cheaper than airport shuttle & runs every 8 mins; just a 5 min walk from Croyde Ave stop to the hotel. Hotel itself was comfortable enough. A bit small and dated, but good for the price. Local pub served us dinner at 10pm. Hotel continental breakfast was all we needed.
