We stayed over at The Ibis for a night, en-route to Misano. Check in was extremely easy, it isn't a check in like i have ever used before. The reception staff come to you in the queue. We asked for a room over looking the airport runway. We were given room 501. As we do enjoy a spot of plane spotting we were in our element. Considering how many air craft were landing the hotel was very quiet.

We had a evening meal and drinks, this for London prices was extremely reasonable. Very tasty and quick service. We didn't have breakfast, but i believe continental starts at 4am.
We were going to get the hopper bus, but it would have taken three quarters of an hour to do a fifteen minute journey, as we had a early flight this wasn't suitable. The hotel staff told us they also had a taxi service running from the hotel which took us straight to the airport. For two adults and two suitcases it cost £13. And well worth the fifteen minute trip. This needs to be booked.

The hotel is very modern in many areas, some areas need a bit of Tlc, bathroom was small but nice. It would be nice if the towels were bigger. We are not large people and these were a snug fit. The room was small but expected for London. Kettle, mugs, hairdryer, storage etc.

Checkout was easy. We would without a doubt stay in this hotel again when going to Heathrow.
