“Good single room for a short stay”
Reviewed 23 January 2012

Stayed here for one night before a flight to the US. I arrived at Heathrow Central Bus Station, so got the 105 bus from just outside the station for free to Harlington Corner, which is right outside the hotel and only takes about 5-8 minutes. This is do-able with large items of luggage but might be harder if the bus is full (in which case the 140, 111 and 285 also go from Heathrow Central to Harlington Corner) or you aren't confident carrying them on/off - the Hotel Hoppa might be worth the fee then.

Check-in was quick and I took the lift to the first floor - as other reviewers have said, the polo-shape of the hotel means that rooms on the inside of the ring are small. I'd booked a single room as I was there for just one night. There was just enough clearance to get my case through the door to the room and once inside, the room was compact, but big enough for one. Being on the inside of the ring, there isn't much of view but it is quiet. I was a bit of a walk from the lift so didn't hear much noise during the night.

I went into the city to meet some friends during the evening and because it was raining, got the bus back to Heathrow Central, then Tubed in on the Piccadilly to Leicester Square - the bus was again about 8 minutes and the Tube took roughly an hour or so. It isn't so bad as you do have mobile signal for about 25 minutes (a few stops after Heathrow until Hammersmith I think while the train is above ground) before getting in to Central London. On the way back, I had to get off at Hatton Cross and got the 285 back to Harlington Corner (24hr bus) as it was after 11pm.

I slept well, the bed was comfy and even being 6ft I was still okay in the single bed. The bathroom was larger than I'd thought it would be but was a bit old - it had marks from wear and showed its age but the cleaners had done a good job and everything was clean. There was also plenty of hot water for the shower, although it could have been a bit warmer. Check-out was quick and easy and again, the free bus back to Heathrow Central was from just across the road, making it easy to get to Terminal 3 for my flight.

Overall, I would use this hotel again - it's slightly older than the other Holiday Inn down the road (Sipson Way) but if you want / don't mind a single at a better rate, then this is the one to go for.

We stayed here as a hotel and airport parking deal in November 2011. Our room was clean, tidy and well appointed. We bought the dinner voucher which gave us dinner and two drinks each at a reduced price and was good value. The stafff were very helpful and friendly:- I went down to the bar to buy a bottle of wine to take back to our room and the bar staff pointed me towards a wine deal that saved me a few pounds. Thank you!! This was for us a very good deal with a hotel stay and 16 days parking for around 90 pounds. Will definately use again when flying from Heathrow. PS despite being able to see the runways from our room it was very quiet. Well done.

I was only here for 3 days but had trouble with the check in. so it wasn't a good start. I requested any floor but the bottom and had a heck of a time changing. Also I asked for a double or Queen bed and out of the group of 6, I was the only one with a single. Not really worth dragging all the stuff back for a matter of 3 days. Staff was nice but for 16 Lbs for breakfast, I found it a little pricey, not much of a selection and most of the food was cold. It is a good hour run by subway to picadilly circus so it is best to get a return ticket when purchasing. It will save you a couple of dollars but none the less a good distance. The shuttle is an 8 lb return ticket and the airport is literally across the street. All in all the stay in London was outstanding but would probably stay some place else if staying more then a night. Its clean and close to the airport which makes it a good choice for a layover.

Room Tip: Make sure bed size is specified before taking it and they also have smokers room

This is an old style Holiday Inn - not the great quality you usually expect from Holiday Inn. Very small rooms, very dated. Really disappointed. Was great value though if you book in advance.

This is a very well organised hotel with good service and food. For those on a budget the hotel is not only good value but the London Transport buses are free from the airport to the stop just outside the hotel.

I booked this Hotel for only one night stay. You can easily reached this hotel within 10 minutes from the Heathrow Central bus station. Just use a 105,111 or 285 bus and get off at Harlington Corner/Bath Road. The bus is free of charge till this stop. Do not use Hoppa Bus. At night, from central London you can take night bus N9 (from Aldwych / Trafalgar Square ). 24-hour McDonalds at 200 meters away from the hotel.
Reception staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were modern, clean, good shower etc. Beds are very comfortable. Extra bed for a child was already in the room. No free WiFi. The window of our room went straight on Heathrow runway. It’s very interesting to watch airplanes take off and landing. Soundproofing is good.
Great location for any of Heathrow terminals.

The hotel is an 8 minute and 5 minute bus ride from terminals 5 and 3 from the bus lanes after you exit customs on the main ground level (public transit 423 and 105) and free. If you have an early mornig departure check bus timetables as times vary - the departure stops should have the timetables posted. You can take the Hoppa Bus with payment.

Arrived at 2 pm - immediate check in with no waiting. Received room 277 beside stairwell on the interior of the circle which are the smaller rooms. Hallways smell a litle musty but the building is well maintained
.
The room contained a queen sized bed, desk, 32 inch lcd, chair, table, water kettle and complimentary tea and coffee and telephone. There was no fridge.

The separate bathroom contained a sink, shampoo, soap and tub and toilet. It was clean and updated but the original tub remained ie new wall tiles, original floor tiles. My issue was with tub caulking that showed some signs of mold (minor but not acceptable). The toilet paper holder had also come loose which is minor but not acceptable.

This room had double windows that did not allow any airport noise in. However, interior noise was another matter. The door to the hallway did not provide adequate noise reduction that was also exacerbated by a damaged threshhold and the fact that this room was located near 2 sets of fire doors. However, not deal breaking.

I found the room temperature a little warm but was not able to adjust the heat as it seemed to be pre-set.

I enjoyed my stay and found the bed comfortable and the premises clean. I received good value for the fees I paid by pre-paying in advance and might be less charitable had I paid more as posted on the front desk signage.

Fire alarm activated early evening and staff did their job evacuating hotel and providing space blankets for guests who did not bring their coats....done professionally and quickly. Kudos to staff.

I relaxed, slept, watched tv, read, took 2 baths and went for a walk along Bath Road that fronts the hotel. There are pubs and other small shops within 20 minute walking distance as well as a MacDonalds within 10 minutes with FREE INTERNET.....ie cup of cofee and muffin and go to town...hotel internet was far too expensive...I am in the hotel industry and we offer free internet and complimentary breakfast.....Europe should take note...or make the charge reasonable...its a sticking point with me. Would have liked to see a workout facility but for a short stay....a walk is almost as good. All in all recommended depending on price point.....don't know if tripadvisor will allow me to say but I paid $55 USD all in....pre booked. Good deal. enjoy.

Room Tip: outer rooms are larger because the hotel is built as a pie.....interior rooms likely quiter...stayed...
